Well Pikiell got one monkey off the teams back. How many more can he lead us to this year. I believe he will lead us to a minimum of an NIT bid this year. BTW, I said this before the season.

I was thinking that was a mistake but then I thought about it. We didn't win any games away from the RAC, even the 2 games in Vegas last year and in the prior season lost every game after the early January upset of Wisconsin.

I could see us at 11-2 going into the B1G season. THAT would be something.

That'd be ridiculously good. To get into the NIT these days you have to be in the top 60 or so. Worst record to qualify for the NIT last year was 18-14.

Guys, this team is light years better than the last several years and we finally have a HC in Pikiell who knows what the hell he's doing. It's great to be 3-0 but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I think this team will continue to grow together, play tough defense and as we saw tonight out hustle the other team on second chance points.

I still don't believe we will get as far as some of you think, but I do think unlike previous years, we will be very competitive. I love the influx of our new guys like CJ, Nigel, Tiam and Sa. They have given the holdover guys an immense boost in the right direction. And winning is contagious. So is playing for each other. And right now that's what I'm seeing in the early stages. So, let's enjoy this see where we are record wise before playing our B1G schedule, which will be brutal.

I believe that you also need to have a winning record in your conference.

NIT isn't what it used to be where a .500 record, ability to sell tix and proximity to NYC got you in.

Maybe CBI is possible?
