Didn't know if I was going to be able to make this post this year after opening day, but for at least this afternoon the Reds are alone in first place! Now, it's ok to go ahead and tank after this post. Here's hoping that a miracle happens!

Ha yeah my hopes are not up much for the twins. Last time we started a season 3-0 was 07 I think we finished under .500. It can't get worse than last year.

Hey! What about my touch? Every year I post about winning it all and every year we crash and burn. Screw Charlie. Boxes gots the touch!

I appreciate it. Some people watch a groundhog to know when spring is coming, I watch for the "Reds are in first place" thread... Because you know it can't be summer or fall when you see it.Winking

The Reds are on the path to winning 121.5 games.
Cubs only 81.
Cardinals and Pirates suck more than the Brewers.

Since you can't win a half a game, let's round that up to 122!

159-3. Hey, it could happen.

EDIT: That was a damn impressive pitching debut yesterday.

I didn't realize that Arroyo was back with the Reds. Wacha is winning that matchup. :(

Still in first place! Win a series on the road. Pitching well. Bats heating up. Ahhhh... enjoy it for at least one more day.

Still in first place! Can't do any fancy screen caps since I'm on the road (and on my tablet). Reds beat the Bucs 7-1 on the road today to improve to 5-2. We'll see how the Cubbies do vs the Dodgers. It's kinda late so I'm guessing there was a rain delay in Wrigley.

Soler, Ross, Travis Wood, Hammel, Chapman, Fowler out
Brett Anderson, Wade Davis, Jon Jay, Koji Uehara, Brian Duensing in

so, not really.
Except for Davis, I see that as a downgrade...not enough to cost them, but still....

i expect them to be at about the same level and I'm sure they'll acquire what they need in June or July to fill in any gaps. they were best of all timeish defensively last year and they are even better this year with almora and baez playing more.
