Not Bednar’s best start but he was fine. Got us thru 6 innings with a lead.

It’s time for our bats to break this open. Their pitching has not been good and we’ve let them stay in the game somehow.

Seems like the story of the season with our lineup. We’ve got a very precise formula for making average pitchers look great, and it include a nice mix of pop ups, hard hits right at the defense, and dribblers to the corners.

Sanford just brought in a freshman reliever with a 5.58 ERA and I thought to myself... well, we may have already seen our last hit of the game

Lemonis absolutely made the right call starting Bednar. I could easily have seen Samford lighting up one of our lesser pitchers. Hit 3 bombs off Bednar and PJohnson. Very fortunate they were all solo shots.
