He is a hell of a player. Hate to see him go, but the new system and Johnson (outside looking in opinion) seems to be reason enough.

Just go down our list of DEs and DTs. When we hired a coach that will transition us to a 3 man front, you gained 2 guys on the 2 deep. I believe it improved our depth tremendously for the next few years.

Add the new guys:

Jordan Davis Juco

Trey Lawson Juco

I just don't see the value for him or us at this point...

MS just happens to produce a lot of DE/LB types.

Good point, there are a lot more SEC caliber DE and LBs out and about than there are true DTs.

[KentuckyDawg13]

Expected, especially being the lowest ranked MSU recruit who was more of a project than a guaranteed player.

Good luck.

[LawDawg97]

The joke sucked because it compared 2 situations that are different.

That's the joke genius. That he was saying "Hey Missouri's coach left too (which was obviously at a different point in time) so tell the kid to come back!" We didn't need your explanation that they were different situations, anyone with a brain knew that. But you did anyway.

[maroonmania]

We didn't want him anyway

Exactly. His .8527 rating was dragging down our average rating per recruit. He got to go!**

You forgot to include Pickering
