I’m not at Ryan Field tonight, but I will be watching and thought I’d get the thread going.

This one is gonna be a dogfight...but I guess all NU games are, aren’t they?

Both offenses look pathetic after the first series. Thorson still sailing his throws.

How many damn times does that play have to fail before Mick finally drops it?

Disagree we haven't run the ball yet so far. Field position is key
I agree with you. That was a stupid decision to go for it. Our D is holding them on their half of the field so far. Why help them?

And after the 3 and out, we'd probably get the ball near the 50 again if we had punted.

Instead we're inside our 6.

And now we are at our 6 instead of midfield. Let's hope the offense can get some yardage. Low scoring game, field position will matter. Huge brain fart by Fitz on 4th down and a long 1

for that very reason. If you have confidence in your d, you are confident they can shut down Purdue no matter where they are on the field. The offense, on the other hand, needs momentum, confidence and more possession to put points on the board. It has worked all year. They just needed t keep it between the tackles.

Come on.... can't you ever admit maybe you're not always right? It was a bad decision.

Each game is different. In this game it sure appears field position will be key as neither team can move the ball. I'm not convinced yet we can run between the tackles against Purdue. I would much rather have each team punting with us at or near midfield each time.

What do I have to do with it? I didn't make the decision so how can I be wrong? I just happen to agree with the decision but not the play call and explained why I feel that way You see it otherwise. Why do you think everyone has to agree with you?

This offense doesn't look like they can go 90 yards, give them a short field, this just always going for it on 4th down is going to burn Fitz eventually

Certainly you are not going to be successful 100% of the time as we found out. I don't think that is a reason not to go for it.
