First-half thread for NU vs. Minnesota

[lou v]

It is BRUTAL out there today. Wind is whipping, rain is coming down sideways and it's right around 40 degrees. I got soaked walking from the parking lot to here. Any fans that show up and stay the whole game today should get free season tickets next year.

The weather will definitely favor Minnesota, who can't throw the ball anyway. Passing and kicking will be an adventure today.

Glad to be here in warm comfy Alaska today.

Congrats to Jackson on his 5000!

Justin Jackson had 76 yards in the first quarter. He ran for just 46 vs. Purdue last week.

Not sure, we are running the ball well!

When it rains it pours. NU TD followed by a turnover to get the ball back.

Paddy caused the fumble

What a catch by Dickerson

[Figrating]

What touch by CT.

[Alaskawildkat]

Happy for Senior Dickerson on the TD.

Everything looking pretty good but hope that PAT doesn’t come back to haunt us. Let’s just blow em out. D playing well.

[bjm989_rivals]

Great pass and catch!

[iskaboo]

It's a shame that Charlie's perfect PAT record is gone, but it looked like a bad snap or a bad hold.

[bjm989_rivals]

D looking TOUGH!

[phatcat_rivals223240]

Can we just have a blowout please?

[Wrestlerneverdiesasacatfan]

OK. Strategy question. After missing a point after is it advisable to for 2 on the next opportunity?

Let’s hope we get to see in a minute here.

Or not.

[Alaskawildkat]

With that great punt let's just get the added point back with a safety!

No.

[Alaskawildkat]

Gophers crawling back into their holes with that interception close to the goal line.

[iskaboo]

Even adjusting for the conditions, Minnesota looks really bad.

[Alaskawildkat]

Yesssssss. Roberts TD!

[Wrestlerneverdiesasacatfan]

[Alaskawildkat]

OK we got our answer on going for 2. At least got Minny to burn another timeout.

Who’s on the sidelines for us in the short sleeve shirt? I am as pumped up as he is, but not nearly as strong.
