NU has shuffled the O line. JB Butler is starting at left guard and Blake Hance is at left tackle. Jared Thomas is not starting.

LMAO the BTN2GO stream is soo screwed up. Streaming fox telecast of dOSU post game instead and missed all of BGs possession...

Possible russian hack? WTF

NU's OL has shuffled again for Drive 2. Thomas at LT, Hance at LG, Butler at RG. No Doles?

That JJTBC touchdown was the 32nd of his career, tying him with Jason Wright for third in NU history.

He also now has 18 yards vs. BG, matching his total vs. Duke last week.

Bad enough that you can't watch on xfinity but btn 2 go is a joke. Btw. These are the worst unis ever.

Jackson has to be dinged. First play he barely could get to the corner. Plus. The other two are getting lots of action.

Well, that sucked. The defense just gave all the momentum back. This can't happen. To much inconsistency, mental errors, lack of energy. This team is in the clouds right now.

Football is a game of emotions. The defense came out first two drives and is aggressive, getting penetration, makes plays in the backfield. The offense scores and then the defense relaxed. Played soft and got gashed. Gave the momentum back. Can't happen.

Gave up -1 yards on first two drives and then 81 on 3rd drive. 4th drive start with missed tackles in the backfield. Not good.

What do you see? Defense is a lot about emotion and energy.

We saw the same thing against Duke. During a few drives they were aggressive, getting in the backfield and putting pressure on Duke. That's when we closed the gap. They could not sustain that level throughout the game. Should not happen. Plenty of talent and depth.

Last week the defense looked slow and took bad angles to the ball. This week ... Same thing. Thank goodness they still do a good job at ripping the ball out.

So when they're good and getting through the line, they have energy. When they are not good and are not getting through the line, they lack energy.

Cause and effect. Energy and consistency gets you -1 yards on first two drives, relaxing and playing on your heals results in an 81 yard drive and a TD. How do you explain such dramatic swings in results? I am confident that the talent is there so the inconsistent play has to be attributed to something else. Hint, at least tonight it is not the opponent.
