Brian Ferentz should fired for the offensive game plan. Putting the game on the shoulders of Petras is dumb. Nebraska is owning Iowa on the interior of the LOS defensively. Zero jet sweep motions from Iowa is arrogant. Especially, with the third string RT playing the whole half.

Nebraska is playing well defensively. Making tackles and being physical. Offensively they are using misdirection on the bigger plays. No mistakes by either Martinez or McCaffery.

We can put to rest the refs being out to get Nebraska. How you “confirm” that 3rd and 23 catch is insane. No evidence his toe touched and then the ball bobbles when he hit the ground.

Good luck in the second half.

Still trying to figure out how this game is tied, given the Huskers' number of near-fatal mistakes. But the defense has stiffened up at some critical times.

No way to overturn that catch. Thoughts on the DPI that led to your last FG?

I knew Defense would play hard when Reimer got that late hit penalty on the first drive. Penalties from playing too hard are better than dumb lazy penalties on defense.

Yout got it wrong dude. It was ruled a catch by the ref's so video evidence must prove that the toe did not touch the ground. If it was inconclusive they would of stated such and that the play stands but they actually confirmed the play. You may have an argument about if the ball was bobbled or not. They didn't show that enough

Personally, I think the ball may move a little on most catches so it needs to be a bobble where you see air between hands and ball.

The confirmed catch was no more of a gift than being given a first down when you don't even break the line of scrimmage. I'm not claiming that was an anti-Nebraska call because gift first downs happen all the time. But it still led to points.

Apparently college football only keeps the chain gangs around for nostalgia, because officiating crews are clearly instructed to award first downs on anything that's even close. It's gotten completely ridiculous.

No matter the score, Nebraska wins. This is the game where it was clear to all that Jurgens at Center just isn't ever going to work. Now all parties can move ahead to a better future.

Huh? I understand the ruling on the field has to be overturned. If it was incunclusive, he would have said “stands”. He said “confirmed”, which means the the video booth “confirmed” the catch.

I did expect them to say “stands” with my pessimism. But “confirmed” is insane, especially with the studio ref saying it wasn’t conclusive.

The side judge has a tough job but I agree with you, anytime a helmet gets even close to the line to gain, they just wave it on for a first down.

Agreed, Iowa's game plan has been pretty bad. On our side, it helps that we finally figured out how to use our NT on the defensive line, and coincidentally he's our best defensive lineman and has been sitting on the bench all year. It also helps out that your RB can't hit a cutback lane.

Rewatch that play again, his toes touch... it may not have been much but they touched... the very last view they showed on the replay showed it very clearly

Now a hold takes certain points off the board for Nebraska. They have chose not to call bigger holds dozens of times today. Such ********.

My thoughts on every Nebraska game, there is no better team in the nation in finding a way to lose the game.... Nebraska’s strength is gift wrapping games for everyone we play... 😔 being a Nebraska fan is very depressing any more

Because you can clearly see his toe bend as it touches the ground. When will the birds get a flag for holding? Sure enough opportunities

Yep even up by a touchdown, I thought there was no way we'd win this game.

Good game fellas. I know you don’t believe it but Nebraska is further along than you think. Especially defensively.
I see that we are further along and we have the talent, but we just can’t seem to stop kicking ourselves in the nuts... I seriously wish there was a simple answer for this right now, but I just don’t see it... I think Frost is in shock right now too and he can’t seem to get out of his own way... there has been a culture of indisciplined play here ever since Bo and it does not seem to matter who the coach is, we just can’t seem to get past it... It’s just been so depressing to watch us play the past few years because, you can see talent, you just can’t seem to understand why we can’t get out of our own way

Get an accurate QB. Who cares if he can run a 4.4 40. Martinez is frustrating but he is clearly your best option. I was surprised both were never on the field together, ala the OSU game. Frost needs to relinquish play calling. He needs to concentrate on fundamentals. He should be roaming practice ripping guys’ asses for making minor mistakes.

I could not possibly agree more, and I’d add in the fact that we need to teach our receivers how to get separation. I’d definitely like to see Frost transition into a manager role and let someone else call the plays, have them sit in the booth too because you just get a better view of the whole field to see what’s really working or what will work. And again I have to agree Frost absolutely needs to be roaming the field and ripping people during practice for making mistakes... we have to drop with while play with no fear mentality or at least add some stipulations to it... I wanna see our players start to play with a fear of commuting a penalty, that holding call killed us, the dropped kick killed us, just too many mental lapses

Can you please just get the fck back to the Iowa board, or maybe to your klan meeting? It's ridiculous how you think you need to post here.

Honestly Normally I’d jump in and agree with the previous poster asking you to leave... but I will go to bat for you on this one, you’ve actually provided good conversation and input, without making it a point to run the loss in our face. I’d take many more posters like you any time, over the pouting and constant bickering we see within our own fan base... there’s no need for us to be sore losers right now, and there’s no need for Iowa fans to come kick us while we’re down... so thank you for not doing that, as far as I’ve seen at least
