I don't hate UNC. They don't have the bandwagon fans or any elitist attitude. They've had mainly likeable players.

It's hard to hate UConn, don't know what it is.

Then there is Duke, elitist, rich kid, country club of a program.

UConn feels like a cross fit gym.

There is literally not one thing similar between Danny Hurley and Bobby Knight. Not a thing. Knight was a dictator who strangled kids and was thrown out of a university trying to hold onto him. Hurley is animated, and can be too much.

Fans are tantalized by stars and when you are loading up your roster with the NBA stars of tomorrow, it's effen exciting even if you aren't winning titles. There is something highly intoxicating seeing an NBA star in UK blue.

That's what you lose with Cal, for better or worse. There is a big emotional and entertainment component to that feature and sometimes you don't know what you have till it's gone.

There are far bigger jerks in the history of college basketball than Knight and D. Hurley. Dave Bliss tried to cover up the murder of one of his players by framing the player as a drug dealer.
