First drive in the books. Does Gronowski suck or do we just bring out the absolute worst in QBs?

Graduate student with 2 nationals titles under his belt and he’s played at Kinnick before. I’d hope he wouldn’t have nerves at this point in his career.
Much different situation; much larger spotlight.
But who knows? Maybe it’s nerves. Maybe it’s thinking too much in a new system. Maybe he just sucks.
Maybe it’s Brian’s fault.
Whatever it is, it’s not good.
I’m not writing this team off quite yet, but I see a lot of the same problems. From the TV, you can’t tell if the wide receivers are getting open, but you can tell Gronowski is coming off his first and second reads a lot and having to scramble too much.
It doesn’t bode well for when Iowa plays actual competition.

1). Why have we gone away from the run on 1st down. Get him in comfortable down and distance situations.
2) He needs to quit scrambling outside so much, tuck it and get moving forward and get some yards.

To be fair, Phillips looked pretty good when he was wide open in the end zone.
