He always says he goes on what the best info is at that time… well all the logical info says let him kick it. He’s already cold.

Watch we get blown out next week. I wouldn’t blame players for being just worn out.

What I don’t get is that the blitz wasn’t getting there all game why would u pick that time to use it. It was historically bad coaching and Schiano is going to have to own this one .
Defense was on running on fumes down the stretch. He had to know it as well.

Greg once again costing his players a game and opportunity to play in a Major bowl game. Potential to restore his recruiting numbers. But NO he just continues to be a bad football mind.

No field house, NIL, salary etc had anything to do with his complete failure today. Fire 🔥 Greg

This argument is tired. No offense. There are plenty of coaches that would jump at the chance to coach in the big ten that aren't stuck in the dark ages. Teams find them all the time. This idea that somehow ONLY Greg can coach at Rutgers is absurd.
It's been fact so far.

I’ve been saying this since 2020. And part of our issue with success is our fanbases’ insistence on this.

Give it up. We’re in the big ten. In the largest market in the world. A world class institution, and finally have a foundation. Coaches will want to come here and be successful. When Greg retires are we gonna dismantle the program???? This is so stupid…

Stop with this…

His presser was disappointing as he should have Mea Culpa, but no. He’s too stubborn. Even condescending. He tried to say the timeout was called to set defense “in case of fake”, etc. ********. He tried to ice the kicker. He should called it sooner, if at all. His lack of accountability is just astounding

Step 1 is getting the diehards to realize he's terrible. There is no defending this.
I didn’t want GS back in the first place, so I’m far from a die hard. But people are engaging in 20-20 judgement on this one. It was a well-coached game. Not perfect, but good enough. Was execution that let the team down, with some critical drops, a critical fumble, and a critical failure, 6 v 1, to tackle the WR to win the game.

If the kicker had made the FG but it got called back due to the timeout, everybody would’ve been saying “thank god” and been glad for the icing call. And IL most likely would’ve tried again since they saw it go in the first time and, due to conditions, might’ve missed.

Instead, the RU coaches put the team in a position to make one 6 v 1 stop to win, and the D actually had a great chance with 6 RU players between the receiver and the endzone. But none of the RU players made the stop, they failed to execute on that play and their WR executed flawlessly.

Disappointing, but not the coaching brainfart everyone is making it out to be.

The worst part is that he is so unaware of how bad of a decision / his process was on this call. He thinks his line of thinking was right and it was just a bad outcome.

He is incapable of learning from his mistakes so he will never get better. This is who we are stuck with as he takes his $6mm/yr to the bank.

The kicker and all players knew there was a TO before the kick. Ignorant to act like it was a miss. We dont know what would have happened. Was very surprised when he showed that leg they didnt try it after TO.

Plenty to be mad about with the D on the td play but lets not be so ignorant in the face of the facts.
