I was attacked by tOSU fans in November for suggesting that their team was peaking way too early and couldn't sustain it.

Anyone with a pulse could see that they were conditioned way, way too well for November.
That’s the not problem. You can absolutely have multiple peaks in a season. It’s SIX FRIGGING MONTHS!!!

But Tom literally thinks peaking is going harder, with a short taper. He’s an idiot. The first week of big ten comp, in January - he should have backed off.

the 4 weeks between their last dual and big tens? Should have been a taper. He refuses to get it.

They won the DT invite. DT will win his tournament next year, but you know crying Ryan is getting his team ready for that early season peak.
Losing Mendez, Kharchla and Gallagher is going to be very hard to replace. They will need to hit the portal even harder than Iowa. I have a feeling they slide a bit next season.

Nebraska is the team I am most interested in. They have peaked 2 years in a row at NCAA’s even better than Iowa did this year!!😉😉😇

Just looked. They lose Hardy, Lamer and Allred. They still have a strong nucleus with Taylor, Minto and Ferrari, but they will also have a very hard time keeping the pace without hitting the portal pretty hard as well.

I forgot to include that vital part, but, yes. Peaking and then not having a layoff with an intentional deconditioning period = injuries.

They came out on a heater, destroying teams that their roster, based on past results, should not destroy. And it caught up with them.

Iowa returns 45 points.

It’s not like another team returns 155. ****, oh wait …

Wow, even now a PSU fan comes on here and has to make it about them. This is why I mess with you guys as hard as I possibly can.

Yes, I have posted TODAY that PSU has broken the scoring record 3 years in a row.

Yes, I have said OkState is still NOT REMOTELY close, even after their performance.

How does that have ANYTHING to do with me comparing Iowa to the 2 teams that finished right next to them? Does everything still have to do with you on a different team’s board?

When it comes to the actual team, PSU is the best I have ever seen and I compliment THEM every damn chance I get. But, the majority of PSU fans I have ever spoken with ABSOLUTELY SUCK!!!

They are pissed because even though they are still super dominant, people are becoming bored with them, and Taylor with okyst are the new darlings of the wrestling world that all fans and wrestling media can’t stop talking about.

They just are not that likeable with the whole dbag cult thing. It's an easy call to cheer for Okie state over them for me.

I don’t think PSU Mike is one of those guys; he’s been here for years and seems solid. PSU guys aren’t all bad those bad apples are the ones who really suck!

Send some of Penn State's wrestlers/starters to the transfer portal then, if you truly care about this sport as a whole.

Quality comment (I'm not being sarcastic this time). Penn State has contributed several transfers to OSU and Utah Valley. I'm sure there will be more to come.

@Libertylover
Nah, Penn State fans aren't mad. OSU should be media darlings. They had a great tournament and are Penn State's biggest competition. DT is building a powerhouse in Stilly. I, for one, want some good competition. Blowouts get boring.

Crazy world we're living in.

Iowa State fans have become full blown Penn State football fans because most of their team (and more importantly, the coach) is playing in Happy Valley now and their obsession with Campbell won't allow them to let go...................and now we've got Penn State fans slowly migrating to become full-fledged Oklahoma State fans because of Taylor.

Ha, that's funny. (Sarcasm this time). I just want to see some good competition. Since Iowa isn't going to do it with TnT, Oklahoma State is filling the power vacuum.

You must be connected to a much different group of ISU football fans than me if that is actually your perception.

I really thought this would be the year they don’t choke at nationals, but glad I was wrong
Ryan is incapable of understanding that backing off is ok, and won't make them any less "tough enough" to win matches.

They have birden to replace Gallagher. Shouldn’t be much drop off. He’s are to score on with his length. Bouzakis up to 141. Mainly just replace Kharchla.
