It is ridiculous how we are becoming Fire U. I understand the emotions - I was never a fan of the Riley hire and I've been off the Riley bandwagon since the Iowa game last year - but some serious soul searching need to be done by the university.

No worries. 90k will continue to fill the stadium to watch this drivel and we will continue to cash the conference welfare checks. Business is good
Not so sure on the sellout if this trend continues... This loss is pretty bad.

Nothing will happen until end of season but loosing record and Riley is gone. No coach should get 2 sub 500 years at Nebraska.

Eichorst will go first. It will happen this year barring some unforeseen turn-around of the football program.

The new AD will give Riley next year - which will most likely be another mediocre result. Riley will "retire" at the end of 2018, and NU will look for a new football coach.

It's amazing Nebraska hired Riley, Callahan. Those two were absolute head-scratchers from the get go. It's really no wonder they were fired.

I hope Eichorst is the first to go.

We have Top 20 facilities and Top 20 money but get Under 40 results.

If you paid $75,000 for a car, then discovered it was under-powered, got terrible gas mileage, and was shedding parts all over the road, you wouldn't shrug it off because you didn't want to seem needy. You'd tow it back to the dealership and throw it in their faces.

There is no excuse for Nebraska to be this bad. The recruiting footprint explains why winning championships is difficult, but that's it. With the resources available here we should be a consistent Top 20 program, beating all but the best teams we face, and having the occasional shot at a conference championship. There is no room for excuses, though. Every coach has to be recruiting and developing players. Everybody has to be working hard.

I spent eight years supporting the athletic department through the training table. To be honest, the athletic department employees are arrogant pricks who strut around, thinking they're hot **** because the whole state revolves around the football team. There are people collecting huge paychecks to basically do nothing. Certainly they don't contribute to a culture of winning.

There are no excuses for the team to look this unprepared for the third game of the season, against a directional school, at home. People need to be fired. Lots of them.

Cool, then look up in four years and we are Oregon St. Recognize this staff is terrible and move on.

He's going to have to be if you want Riley gone. No damn way will he fire a guy at season's end that he just gave a contract extension to. SE has decided he's going down with the SS Riley. I say see ya, hope they forgot the life jackets.

When you practice the way we do, you are never going to be good. Before we have a chance at getting better, we need a competent A.D. in place to find the right fit next time.

Tickets are already sold but if Riley returns next year...the streak will be seriously in doubt.

The tickets might be sold but sections and sections of empty seats would speak volumes. Honestly I have no idea why anyone would want to piss away an entire Saturday to watch the product that walks out of that tunnel on Saturdays.

The sellout streak only matters because we have absolutely nothing else to celebrate in the present. I don't give a single **** about the sellout streak. Roll our pennies, recycle tin cans, etc.... Pay whatever we have to pay for chip or any other massive upside coach. MR doesn't have massive upside.

I live about 3 1/2 hours from Lincoln and I am not highly motivated to travel to watch the team with that type of effort. I get exactly what you are saying.

And who ever I would say you would say no way he comes here or some other excuse.
If you threw out a name like Saban, Harbaugh, Stoops or Meyer then yes.

But that's okay, spout off crap and don't back it up with what you'd actually do...

I would fly I would fly am all the time to see games. Back in the day I would even get up while I'm traveling internationally and listen to the games on the radio.

I can't bear to watch anymore games in fact I just simply check the score and shake my head discussed because every since I've hired Riley I knew we have no future.

the dog just threw up in the car and we still have to drive it the rest of the season. Thanks shawn and Riley for taking one of the best programs and making it look like one of the worst in the entire country

Like I said I could name 6-10 Coach's but you would have the agenda to knit pick them..

So at the time we fired Bo you thought we could have hired any one of the 4 coaches I listed? If not, then name your 6-10. If you won't then shut up.

I think Purdue lucked out with the hire they made. Successful at a smaller division 1 school and given a chance with the big boys. I think it is the way to go.

Obvious it wouldn't be the 4 you mentioned.

I'll give you some bones to chew on... Then you can shut up.

Or we could just hire that same guy from Purdue. Seriously, Purdue went 1-8 in the Big Ten last year and they are fun to watch now. Coaching matters.
