Clearly CU came out to stop the run that was killing them the first half. Execution was not there, the plays were.

Yep. Wasn’t going to let #12 start making plays on the defensive side and risk the turnovers. Penalties were drive killers obviously.

They were selling out between the tackles, just had to get outside. Like we did on RJ’s long TD that got called back.

It is not easy removing 5 years of choking and self destruction. The penalties al most killed them. I am guessing about 200 yards of offense was erased...

The second half was not the best playing calling by any means. Needs to stay aggressive.

That said more than a couple plays were absolutely screw jobs by the officials.

It’s 42-3 without the Ray Charles/Stevie Wonder officials the second half.

IMO, the issue in the 2nd half for the offense is that the PLAYERS got sloppy in making far too many penalties.

There were a couple legit holds, but most of these penalties were crap. The offense still has some stuff to clean up like the botched handoffs. Much better to win though and go into next week with some areas to focus on improving.

The defense dominated. The offense was pretty bad overall against a pretty bad defense

They were 8 in the box trying to get us to throw and maybe get a TO to flip the game. It was boring but it took alot of time off the clock and with reasonable refs would have led to 2 more TDs.

This team isn’t used to what just happened. They’re used to losing those games. We dominated them. The second half sucked offensively but I’m all good with it. Our QB didn’t turnover the ball and our defense played very well. We hurt those boys
