I have mentioned this before. Eugene is probably right about Pikiell.
OK. Young seemed to have worn out his welcome, Myles wanted to go back home, Eugene? Well, I don't know. And you have the transfer portal and NIL hoopla. That doesn't make Pike seem like a bad guy.
Pike is going nowhere. Cant afford to pay the contract. This is not a good basketball team, I cannot believe he set expectations that this was an NCAA tournament team that would go to the Sweet 16. I guarantee he wishes he took that statement back.
Cancel the rest of the season...right?
unfortunately pikiell is going to be the fall guy for years of ineptitude and people’s outlandish expectations.

pikiell has performed miracle work and for some reason a small part of the base can’t seem to see it. People think you go to the big ten and it is magic. National title and ncaa appearances become easy. Well tell nebraska, northwestern, Penn state, Minnesota, even Maryland(right now) that…. These programs like all the other elite programs in big ten have hade a 30 year head start.
From what I see, you hit the nail right on the head. I would like to buy you a drink and toast the rest of the doomsdayers into a recently, plowed snowbank.

When was the last time you saw a team technically make the tourney 2 years in a row and then have 3 key players leave to go play for other college teams. Something is not right.
When was the last season in which players got an extra year of eligibility and the ability to transfer without sitting out, after playing a really strange season under isolation in the middle of a pandemic?

Mulcahy and Cliff sure looked good tonight. Not sure the world is ending after this season.

Wished Harper would have driven to basket instead but great comeback.
