Not upset about the loss as much as I am about the extension. In the event Rhule doesn’t reach a bowl next year his buyout will be significantly higher. Great work UNL administrators.
It’s hard to watch after 15 years of failure. We are not making progress. We are benefiting from beating teams in the same loser boat as us. Our personnel in some areas is better but Matt rhule can’t game day coach in a conference full of good tacticians. He looked lost. I’m tired of that look. And the fanbase is full of excuses. Nothing will change

You're an idiot.

In the era of NIL, we aren't getting premium players to win. We are well behind at least 7 teams in our own conference in spending. That isn't going to change.

We are exactly what we are with what we spend.

The Tom Osborne days are long long gone where he could turn walkons into All-Americans and we could run roughshod over lesser teams with a superior offensive line and execution.

While coaching matters, money matters most nowadays, and the best players are expensive.

Mike Gundy was willingly fired this year. I'm about 100% sure he wanted to be fired. He hates what college football has become. Not sure I can argue against him.

The good news is the offseason is coming. I really like our chances of winning that.

That season is 8 months of every year. Obviously more important, and we dominate the **** out of the offseason.

20 time National Champs. Or is it 21?

Dabo Swinny sounds like he wouldn’t care if he was fired either, in fact he knows he probably should get canned.

Outside of Cincinnati you instead typical Midwest retard
Could you please clarify your remark. I have no idea what you wrote, nor do I know what you are attempting to convey. Are you saying someone outside of Cincinnati is a typical Midwest retard?

This remark could have been 5, 10, 15 years ago. That is what is crazy. Nothing does change

Walk-ons were an integral part of Tom Osborne's success, but it wasn't the only thing that made him great. I am not 100% sure a young Tom could replicate his exact winning record today, but what I am sure of he would win a hell of a lot more than the dopes who have been coaching the Huskers the last 20 years. Tom had a plan. That simple sentence may tell it all. He knew what type of players he wanted, he knew how to teach and make his players better, and he was a good gameday coach. He also knew who he wanted to be his assistant coaches who would make his teams better. You people who like to berate Tom go back and watch the tape. Rarely if ever did Tom meltdown on the sideline. Rhule looks frustrated and exasperated at some point every single game. He been that way ever since he has been a coach. I remember watching him at both Temple and Baylor and thinking what a goofy guy.

Tom is never coming back. What the Huskers need is a man with a plan.

Serious question: if we can never be better than 8th in spending, why not go play in a conference where we aren’t at such a disadvantage? If it’ll never change, it makes no sense for us to be a Northwestern or Purdue annually. Why not go be a Boise State and run a G5 conference and automatically make the playoffs 8/10 years?

That’s the spirit!
Apathy is the best the fan base can do to urge on the admins. I dont have enough of the info behind the scenes to really know how much to lay at Rhules feet, but if we dont start committing top 20 money on a roster, Apathy is what theyll get from me.

This is my favorite. You play a team like Florida ranked #10 and they lose 7 games. That’s s top 25 win? Thank god I don’t live in the state anymore
Doubt you were ever a resident nor fan. Get back to Herky boards and keep your hands to yourself with this thanksgiving.
