We have to stomach this through next year unfortunately. He has many captivated by the next class coming in

Next year we will be “playing for March” and nothing will come of it and people will be done.

This year is over unless he hires an offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator

Our players look out of place or scared to death (with the exception of Oscar)

We will blow Kansas out to get people back on the bandwagon, only to return to how we looked against Michigan St and Gonzaga

It’s been the same cycle now for 7 plus years

The guy who says he can’t last here more than 10 years simply won’t leave until forced out. That will be after our early exit next year.

I love our players this year, but he’s too nonchalant about preparing for on court success

Coach Cal about to find out the same thing that Joe B Hall found out..... You ain't good enough. Recruit all you want you ain't good enough.

Step down or be put into the retirement Cal. Just like Joe B Hall and Coach Rupp. We don't play no games around here buddy. Would rather lose or win with somebody else at this point

Well he can coach that recruiting class all he wants. ain't none of us going to be watching.

Money and viewership is what talks ticket sales is what talks. **** talking is what is heard and it's heard loud and clear. Kentucky fans know how to get rid of a coach and we'll have him gone by the end of the year if we want it.

He will retire in March. I bet anything in the world on it. Coach Cal is in his last season at Kentucky you put your ******* *** on that. Recruiting class be damned. I ain't watching him embarrass Big Blue again. We don't get embarrassed around here we do the embarrassing and you Coach Cal about to get embarrassed. We're going to force you to retire or quit or walk away. Watch *******

Recruiting classes come and Recruiting classes go. . You don't make a decision about a coach in fear of losing a player before he suits up. And what has having top recruits got us the last decade. You don't hang banners for the best Recruiting class.

Calipari's lack of coaching is reason enough to cut him loose. Talks to do that should have already started
Sawnee, you nailed it. If Calipari could actually coach, he would have a few titles with the talent that has come through UKBB under his watch.

Morg/grom's fixing to get banned again. Have some kids, man. It will give you something else to be emotionally attached to. It doesn't make watching the losses suck less, but it makes not watching them a lot easier. We aren't going to get any better at Football or Basketball anytime soon, so you might as well find somewhere else to find your joy. I'm in the acceptance stage. We've got an AD that would rather watch the revenue sports circle the drain than deal with a risky coaching hire. The biggest disappointment is that I'll have a hard time convincing my daughters to share my fandom.

The recruiting is great and all but I want someone who can actually coach the college game. This crap has become borderline unwatchable. I really felt like this team could be special, but man has this start to the season been a swift kick in the junk.

There’s nothing for Calipari here. His recruiting classes don’t matter we’re losing our prestige. This is death by 1,000 cuts. We keep up like this for another 2 or 3 years and nobody will consider us elite in the least.

Rival fans that used to give me hell say very little now. It’s not even fun to rub UK’s face in losing today. It’s turned into low lying fruit.

He’s gotta go recruits don’t mean anything. There’s too many guys who could do better than this and be respectable if not. He’s neither.

He’s embarrassing this program. Reed comes anyway. There are many coaches were missing out on who could actually be great for this program.

Fire him now and move on. I can’t watch another John Calipari coached game. It’s insulting at this point.
Good riddance. Need a ride back to Mempiss?

Calipari will be here until he doesn’t want to be. No matter how much fans complain. Yes, he’s done here in regards to getting Final Fours and titles. But Mitch ain’t sending this guy out. Cal will leave on his own accord.

You are probably right...but the fans may have a say in how quickly that takes place. Empty seats and tv viewership will have a say in this matter too.

Cal's finished, but I don't want to lose the recruiting class.

One more year, than Antigua can run the show and keep the elite recruiting going.
Antiqua had a terrible run as head coach at South Florida. He did not leave on good terms. Maybe he could do a little better at UK but he can not coach X and O's. It may be more of Calipari than a change.

^^^^^This

The days of blindly following a sinking program are over with. That may have been the norm 50 years ago but coaches made less than $50,000 in those days and worried about a parking place next to the gym. With salaries is the stratosphere fans demand much more today.

Not many fans will fork out a $100 bucks or more a game to watch the product Calipari puts on the floor. Keep going in the direction we are going and Kentucky will no longer be a team TV networks want on Prime Time. Rupp will certainly have empty seats. That will get the AD's attention.

Perhaps I treated Grady too harshly. TyTy was also leagues better than anyone we have now.
Grady was great in the games with Tyty and Wheeler out because they ran a ton of ball screens instead of him running back and forth to either side with poor screening.

Lol no. He’ll be bought out after next season or retire. No UK coach can last under the heat he’s about to have.
I agree. Does that still make me a cultist?

If this is how you believe then why did you make a whole thread about firing him NOW? Did you need attention or something? You are wasting your time and I’m convinced now that you know it.

I get equally excited about my kids sporting events as I do for my Cats. I’m just glad there’s no message board for youth
basketball/baseball/football lol. The emotional investment some of these posters put into these games is astonishing.

He calculates his self worth by how his teams are doing. Not worth the attention he jumps up and down looking for.

I guess everyone won't mention the Zags conference anymore - hear about how weak it is. Well, Zags (the past 5-6 years) are a much better program than us, period. Still are tonight.
Its not Zags so good. Its Cal so bad.

Wait and see if he doesn't start loosing next year's team, one at a time.. They can see how bad he is at preparing a team. They won't want what this years freshmen are getting.

You are right on this. It is going to be hard to watch for this season and next. He won't be fired.

It’s strange. Cal came in as beloved as any coach could be, I’m guessing but I will say he will be disliked more than Billy Clyde when he’s gone. He is destroying the program I remember. Hopefully Mr. Mitch gives another extension beyond whatever the heck he has now.
