We can appreciate having him and knowing when he is gone we will keep ticking. No one coach is bigger than Kentucky basketball. Coach Cal would tell you the same thing. Some are more successful but even good coaches can become great here.
All those great coaches IU got after Knight. How many titles did those coaches get for IU?Indiana went south fast with Knight as their head coach starting in 1990..... that goes against your theory of things getting bad after a legendary coach leaves... their case they regretted keeping their legendary coach as long as they did lol
I agree but Indiana fans were saying the same thing after Knight left. You see how that turned out.We can appreciate having him and knowing when he is gone we will keep ticking. No one coach is bigger than Kentucky basketball. Coach Cal would tell you the same thing. Some are more successful but even good coaches can become great here.
IU was the king of college basketball when Knight was there. Their fans thought when Knight left they would not take a step back. I am not saying that will happen at UK when Cal leaves but none of us know what the future holds. We do know we have one of the best coaches in college basketball now and should be happy that Cal is our coach. Why do you keep comparing us to IU? They have never been as good as us and never will be. We've had 3 of 4 coaches win championships since Bobby Knight was fired and the one who didn't was dumped after 2 years. We don't settle for mediocrity.
All those great coaches IU got after Knight. How many titles did those coaches get for IU?
If Cal left today and we hired Billy Donovan... or Brad Stevens... I'd feel like it was an even trade......... but other than those two you are right.
It's true, and no program gets championships out of merely "good" coaches like UK does.We can appreciate having him and knowing when he is gone we will keep ticking. No one coach is bigger than Kentucky basketball. Coach Cal would tell you the same thing. Some are more successful but even good coaches can become great here.
No, but when you mock Kentuckians with your FAAAR Cal, then make this thread with Fire Izzo, you show your true colors. Some on here were ready
to fire Cal when we lost to Evansville.
Right?I can’t believe this thread argument is 5 pages long.
My true colors are Kentucky blue. No, but when you mock Kentuckians with your FAAAR Cal, then make this thread with Fire Izzo, you show your true colors.
Unlike you I have never complained about Cal. He is the one of the best coaches in college basketball. No, but when you mock Kentuckians with your FAAAR Cal, then make this thread with Fire Izzo, you show your true colors.
Several more than the zero won by IU after Knight.how many titles have we won after Rupp?
Some on here were ready
to fire Cal when we lost to Evansville.
No, but when you mock Kentuckians with your FAAAR Cal, then make this thread with Fire Izzo, you show your true colors.
Evidently you don't know Sarcasm when you see it.both suggestions are dumb, just as dumb to compare Va tech to Evansville as some are going to try to do. One is a major conference team the other is a N.I.T/CBI tournament team in a low major
"Izzy"!? .......Blech!Izzy has 8 FFs. Dumb thread OP.
Never said otherwise, just made a point about mocking KentuckiansMy true colors are Kentucky blue.
Apparently so is Duke.MSU stinks they're completely overrated
By the way.... NOW is the time to post a thread........ using Duke and SFA as your example because now it fits. carry on.
I tried but the mods censored it. No profanity, just a similar post to this one.
@JohnBlue_ just ban me and I’ll go back to lurking once a month.
I never used the word FAAAR. Fake news again. No, but when you mock Kentuckians with your FAAAR Cal, then make this thread with Fire Izzo, you show your true colors.
Yes they have!!! [banana][banana][banana][banana][banana][banana][banana]Just wondering.. has any of the other top 25 teams lost at home to a mid major this year? I'd wait for that to happen then make a thread like this... not when MSU loses to an undefeated ACC team.
