Yeah man.. UK sucks so damn much that we could never get a good coach when Cal retires. Just remember the day he decides to leave.. you leave with him since its gonna be awful for us then

People have made a post about firing Cal or finding another coach. Not sure why you are so defensive of argumentative in this thread. Makes no sense.
the next coach might not be legendary like Cal but eventually UK will hire another legendary coach... its not all gloom and doom like KL is making it sound like
Yes, we'll survive, certainly. We are Kentucky. But right now, there's not another guy that I'd want.
We have one of the top two or three coaches in college basketball. Why would we want to get another coach?

Donovan's last eight years at Florida were not the greatest and he had a losing record his last year at Florida. How many Titles does Brad Stevens have? Plus neither is coming to UK so who you want to recommend next?
I'm not defensive. All I've said is losing to Virginia Tech isn't in the same stratosphere as losing to Evansville, and nobody is calling for Cal to be fired. You say there's posts, threads, but you can't find them.. good night man, happy Thanksgiving
No one says we would not get a good coach but we have a Hall Of Fame coach now.
It wasnt about who we could get... its about are there coaches that if they were here... would they be as good as Cal ... and I think Donovan and Stevens would be as good as Cal but you are right.. they wouldnt come here... they are NBA guys now
We had a hall of fame coach 50 years ago.. and 25 years ago.. we have one now.. We'll have another one .. and another one after that... one day Cal will hang it up and retire and we'll be fine so stop saying we'll rue the day Cal is gone.
Most recent one was something like "UK is a ten year job." And another is something like "now Mitch can let Cal go". Something of that sort.

I hate when people act like only one coach is good enough to coach here. Some might not be all time greats but this job helped make most of them successful.
Adolph Rupp was forced to retire. What will we do? We can't be successful without him.
Joe B Hall is retiring what will we do? We can't be successful without him.
Rick Pitino is leaving for the Celtics. What will we do? We can't be successful without him.
Tubby Smith was ran out of town. What will we do? We can't be successful for at least 10 years without him.
John Calipari retires. What will we do? We can't be successful without him.
We might have an occasional stinker but for the most part coaches come and go but Kentucky basketball is forever.
You keep arguing that UK will fall apart after Cal retires... that's absurd.. you dont keep UK down for long. Stop bashing our program
I have never said that, I think we had better appreciate the coach we have. And Indiana at one time was saying the same thing you are saying now.
Who said anything about Indiana? How many different coaches have titles there?
That is what I am saying. Only one coach and that was decades ago. We better appreciate that we have Cal as our coach.
Indiana went south fast with Knight as their head coach starting in 1990..... that goes against your theory of things getting bad after a legendary coach leaves... their case they regretted keeping their legendary coach as long as they did lol
