We threw away $27 million over 3 years. Pay him $27 million over 10 years to take a hike or make his life a living hell.

What’s he got to do to get fire then? A losing record? Oops! Already did that. Is he ****ing Jesus? The dude sucks at his job and has for half a decade. He has to go and the sooner the better.
He would need to be further along in his contract

But they might negotiate a buyout. Why can’t you people see that? Cal not wanted here any longer.
Of course Cal could negotiate a buyout. Bc of this BS contract he’s completely in control. Why can’t you people see that? Could he settle for $30m instead of $33m or whatever it is, sure. Is that likely to happen in any way no. Mostly bc, and I’m not the accountant for UK, but I assume UK doesn’t have $20-30m laying around to pay lump sum towards a buyout. We will see I suppose.

STFU, troll. So tired of you retread dipshits
That's funny. But, do you have the money or not?

It will cost us much more in the long run to let him destroy the entire reputation of the program but **** it, pay him $9 million a year to drive the program straight into the dumpster for another 10 years. That’s cheaper.

Sunk cost fallacy happening. At this point tit would be cheaper to give him $50 million than to pay him to keep doing this.
Not arguing that. The point is UK still needs the money to fire him, so do you have access to $42 million you can give them to accomplish it?

No one inside UK is going to authorize that kind of buyout because it's a death sentence for their career as well. It would be the end of Capilouto and Barnhart at UK.

His incentive is to be happy and not continue to tarnish his legacy.
Yea, so I don't think that's going to do it. I don't think Cal is unhappy enough to give up millions of dollars. Nor do I really think he cares about his legacy. He is already a HOF coach.

If he's got an ego, which he does, he will care how people view his legacy. Might be his ego that gets him back for one more year of this to try and go out on a good note.

Not really. If he has an ego, he will want to prove everyone wrong. And people with egos don't negotiate themselves out of millions.

That is just wishful thinking.

Until someone comes up with the buyout money or Cal just gets burnt out, he ain't leaving.
