Both lines are so bad due to horrible recruiting that its not MAC level.
Cant blame any talented kids if they shut it down after this game#4,and look elsewhere.

Fire Ash, now. Don’t wait for the end of the season. There hasn’t been a bit of progress or improvement. This fiasco shouldn’t be tolerated for a minute longer.

Fire him..?

I think it's time to call some guys...
I know some, really!
Will I go to jail if I ask them to get rid of him.
I was thinking maybe they’ll give me an award

I am almost sure i said last year that Rutgers football was as low as they were under Shea. Well now it may be lower. Hobbs just had to bring him back even though 99% of us knew what was going to happen. A disgraceful decision by our AD who was so shortsighted and has cost Mr Hobbs some of the goodwill that he got with his excellent fundraising.

Ash has gutted this program. He has decimated fan interest in the program. He has ruined the 150th anniversary year. He has dropped our talent level to its lowest in 50 years. He has consistently shown his teams are not ready to play from the opening tip. Rutgers is a doormat and its because of Chris Ash. He is a failure. He needs to go immediately.

Hobbs must give the fans something to hope for and the only way to do that is by canning this Ash disaster right away

I agree. Hobbs has done a nice job in the Olympic Sports, fundraising, and I think Pikell is the right guy but that all goes out the window with FB being so bad bc outside of Men’s BB it’s really what the world looks at.

You want Hobbs to walk out on the field mid game and fire him?

That’s right. Gotta start thinking about the timing of bringing in the next guy. Waiting til the end of the season puts us into competition with other schools who will be making changes. Even if we have to go the interim route for the rest of this year, at least Hobbs can openly put feelers out.

I was all on board with Ash, four years ago, thought he could revamp the culture, players, and the fans at Rutgers. I was wrong! This guy is a little boy pretending to be a College Coach, maybe Cornell, Kean, or some other nobody cares about College program, but a Big Ten Coach, NOT! Time to cut our losses, put out the money and get a winner in here! These players don't help either, really sad state of affairs, when basic 101 football is not even in play! These players think that they have no personal responsibility, guy catches it for a twenty yard gain, but it's alright because I made the tackle....really! And, talking smack! Jeez, you suck, and you are talking smack! They make a tackle, which is their job, they get up like they just won the Superbowl, then on the next play they miss a tackle, for 20 yards! Losers, and the scoreboard proves it! Time to move on Rutgers! You already are the laughing stock of Div. I football, maybe the money wasn't worth it!

Yeah pretty much nothing good happens to RU football anymore. Even when an RU's best players get chance at NFL they are often recovering from injuries (and overuse if defenders). It would be good for Ash to move on too instead of just living stuck to the whipping post.

All this was known at the end of last season but they still brought him back. It’s amateur hour.

New rule going forward.

Rutgers should never hire a coach who doesn't have a proven record of being the head coach of teams that play disciplined, sharp, high iq football regardless of their talent level.

Can you imagine going 1-11 as a noted DC and telling your AD you need $300K plus to bring in another DC? Hobbs should have said, FU, you coach the defense!

God this defense is horrible.

Didn't Julie want Petrino?

No but she mentioned him at a Court Club meeting saying something like yes she would absolutely consider a guy like Petrino but the media would have an issue with Rutgers doing it
