Well he seems to be wrong about FSU compared to the current BIG schools, US News has FSU in a tie with Minny for #53 in National Universities, and ahead of MSU, PSU, Indiana, Iowa, Oregon and UNL. Unfortunately, there is a wide gap between UNL at 159 and all of the other BIG schools who are in the top 100. Maybe UNL is still being downgraded for the pitiful academic record I left behind.

These rankings have more to do with research than actual student academic achievement. Programs are structured pretty much the same everywhere around the country. As always, it has more to do with the individual student's motivation that determines sucess much more than how prestigious a program or university is.

Nah. Was the general contractor for my current house 18 years ago. Built it for about $120/sq ft. Saved about $30/sq ft for my efforts. I did a lot of grunt labor I couldn’t find people willing to do.
