I disagree. There are some posters on here that are both aggressive and stupid.

It was absolutely foolish. both times.
On the last punt, Iowa got the ball back, but with less time and fewer time outs.
And they lost!

Differing opinions. They didn't lose because they either did or didn't punt. They lost because they couldn't move the ball and score when they needed to.

My feelings are that their strength was their Defense and by punting they gave their Defense a chance to come up with a turnover or shift field position, which they did after the shanked punt.

That wasn't the point of my original post. The point is that nobody remembers when a coach "plays it safe" and ends up losing, but everyone remembers when a coach does something unconventional and ends up losing.
