Welcome to the fold. RU is now your favorite college basketball team but you can still root for Kentucky. They can be your favorite NBA farm team, LOL. It's hard to look at them as a college team any longer since most of their wins are won by one-and-done players.
It's actually been harder rooting for them lately because of Cal. I'm not against the one and done thing, but u can tell, the continuous lack of experience is hard on the die hard fan. You're always waiting for the Freshman mistake in the last two minutes of the game. I've actually been an RU fan since 97 as a football recruit, but claimed UK as number 1. Now I'm all in. #JERSEY

Ha ha ha. That's a tough one. I was just telling my wife that I might have to go full RU. Football is my last sport that is not completely RU. LOL. But now that I live in the south I'm one step closer to being a season ticket holder for either the phins or the U. I'm torn. But, I actually follow RU FB just as much, nowadays. I retire from the Air Force in two years with the intentions of settling in east Tampa. No plans on moving back to jersey though as much as I love my home state.
Nothing's gonna change. I've been taking RU losses as if it was my favorite team since 01! I'm basically coming out of the closet. Lol

Hahahahaa. I've been feeling RUTGERS recruiting losses ever since I signed up for rivals. Ha ha ha. Believe or not, though I never post it, I am one of the few pessimistic, yet hopeful RU fans. One of the ones always expecting NO but hoping for yes. Lol.
If you are switching from Kentucky to Rutgers because you find their play at the end of games frustrating you are gonna have a bad time.

Used to be Kentucky (now Rutgers), Phillies, Miami, Dolphins, Knicks. All other college sports are RU.
Picked all of my teams when I was 12 (92) Kentucky was always on TV, and I liked the fact that they pressed, and wore blue and white (like my hometown burlington city). Phillies just because I didn't have any local teams. I hated the fact that Jersyans rooted for Philly and NY teams as "ours". Canes, same thing, they were always on TV, and I wore number 5 like the great return man Kevin Williams for the U. Dolphins... Dan Marino and the Marks Brothers! Knicks.. Big Pat was and is my all time favorite player. I started following RU in 97 after being recruited for football, and over time all other RU sports grew on me, and obviously because it's our state U!

I feel good juju this year. I like the upgrades to the roster. But again, other than last year I'm always optimistic until we are mathematically eliminated from the NCAA/NIT.
