Take out Mahomes and the Chiefs aren't in the Super Bowl. Take away Saban and Bama doesn't have a string of titles.

Was it not one of the youngest teams in CFB? You clearly aren't an NU fan.
I saw a graphic that we are right up there with the number of returning starters. This team is about to take a gigantic leap and I cannot wait!!!

If you have depth you want the ranking. Take DR out and it’s not a great class, normal. Average ranking which we’re 27th is what shows depth for injuries or misses.

This team is old and has had bad classes so after this year it’s a drop off for DR’s last 2 years. Unless he goes to Georgia or a top program. I don’t think he will but kids want the spotlight and to be on tv and winning. Who knows.
You're not even trying hard at this. Hell, Laner3 was better at this than you, and he sucked at it.

We had like what, 9 seniors last season? 20-something freshman & sophomore playing meaningful minutes?

Is the #16 ranking more a function of the quantity of recruits or average star ranking per recruit?
You are correct in your assessment. Go to the top of this page and click on FB Recruiting and look at the team stats. Here are a few highlights.

Nebraska has 30 total recruits - only Louisiana Monroe has more at 39 if you don't count Army and Navy.

B1G: Penn State 25 with an average of 3.56 stars and total of 2133, we just barely edged them out in totals
Wisky has 22 with an average of 3.5 stars and a total of 2077, just behind us

Nebraska: 30 recruits, 3.33 average stars, 2138 points

Other notes: OU 28, 3.71 and 2605
Georgia: 28, 3.96, 3159

So when you ask if the #16 rating is a function of quantity of recruits or average star ranking it is actually both. Look at overall star rating and we lower than our B1G brethren who we nosed out on the list. But it you look at average star ratings both Penn State and Wisky beat us there.

Look at it however one wants. Numbers are numbers people love them when they are in their favor and cuss them when they are against their thoughts.

If Wisky decided they needed 30 recruits do you not think their avg star ranking would decrease?

Also - team rank is based on 20 recruits so it doesn’t matter how much you sign after that amount.. Nebraska out recruited both pedo and Wisky

Yeah that is what I thought. Took highest 20 so numbers aren't completely distorted

If you only consider high school recruiting then you are probably correct. If you look at the comprehensive rankings (which include transfers), Nebraska drops behind PSU and Wisky slightly, but not really that much difference, Nebraska just seemed to be selective in the portal. Iowa drops like a rock in the comprehensive rankings.

Is all I need to know is that Caleb Benning, Willis McGahee, and Keelan Smith are just "middle of the road" recruits in this class.

We have one of the youngest teams in all of CFB. You obviously know nothing and aren’t afraid to show it…

Hi Adam, it's a function of a badass class from top to bottom that is large, has a bunch of high end players, but also fills needs. It's also a function of Rhule being creative and NU having more NIL money than say an Iowa, or Wisconsin. Sucks for them.

Can I get a GBR from you to celebrate this awesome class?

Funny how “Adam” didn’t feel the need to comment on this. Things that make you go hmmm…

Need a hot start. First seven games are winnable
I have great hope but if we don’t stomp CU I may be off the bandwagon. I expect a Halloween 92 atmosphere and CU will have a subpar OC, a DC that’s never coordinated anything, subpar position coaches and another large group of guys that’s never played together trying to mesh and learn all new schemes.

No excuse for losing this game, at all.

I won't jump off the bandwagon, but I'll be extremely disappointed.

The first class from Rhule already has a higher hit rate per recruit than any class of Frost's. It'll be very interesting to see the development side after a year in the program.

I trust their recruiting evaluations more than any coach since at least Callahan.
2021 - Teddy P (for a bit), Gabe (for a bit)
2022 - Allen (for a bit), Hausman, Hartzog
2023 - Malachi, PWill, Cam L, RVP, Lloyd, Bootle on 2 deep until injury.
Injuries drove this a bit, but the kids were ready to play.
