Jones is the master of covering all his basis.

UK is looking "great" with Dickinson, but Dickinson is going with a school that will guarantee an NIL deal, which UK won't do?

How is that to be seen as anything but bad for Kentucky?

I have thought all along that he was mostly using KY to increase his pot from Kansas and Maryland.

I do think there could be 2 things that might change this.

1) Is there ANY school that would blow up the ratings for his podcast like Kentucky? I doubt there is. Our fan hysteria cuts both ways, and if you enjoy the limelight like apparently HD does .... no school can bring the eyeballs like we do.

2) This mess at Kansas might get resolved this summer. While we all doubt anything of note happens to them. But HD has no assurances about that. And the accusations were pretty damning. There is at least some risk things could go sideways with Kansas. Say what you will about HD, some of his best bb was played when Michigan got to the NCAA earlier in his career. His emotion effort as I recall.

I have no idea where he goes. And I'm not losing sleep over it. My original gut feeling hasn't changed, but maybe I'm wrong here. Certainly wouldn't be the first or last time.

I voted UK just bc I had a hunch.

Rapidly approaching the status others are at where I’m pretty much over this tho. Hope he or Oscar comes, but there are other very good options as well.

Edited to clarify—I think Oscar, the Utah valley and Nelson kid are still options. Considering Nelson just hit portal yesterday and I don’t think we got reeves until after this point last season I think there will be more options pop up as well. I think we will end up with a good premium big. If we don’t I will be upset with the rest of ya tho it will be a big miss and is an important piece next year.

The only good option I see is Grant Nelson and it will be NBA or Arkansas for him.

Still two very important dates to watch. Players have until May 11 to enter the portal, and players who entered the draft but retained eligibility still have until the 31st to say if they are staying in the draft or pulling out. Bona, Sanogo, and Holmes "could" end up pulling out of the draft depending on what kind of feedback they get, and there still may be good players enter the portal before that May 11th deadline. Nelson is still out there, along with Bandaogo. Still a few weeks until the picture is a lot clearer. Bona is the one I think with the highest chance of pulling out of the draft due to not being able to participate in workouts or summer leagues.
