Genespage, next right. Go straight till you see a dude in a braided belt.

This kind of effort is unacceptable coming from an alleged national seed.

This is like the third time since 2016 we’ve gotten run ruled in Hoover. I promise you it is not remotely a big deal.

Why do I have to do something?

You said it was unacceptable. I take that to mean you clearly don’t accept it. Does it stop there or do you have some way of punishing a coach or a player? Is there some kind of ritual that you go through to make it acceptable?

I always wonder when someone says a loss is unacceptable but they really don’t have the authority hold anyone accountable, what does that really mean?

It should be unacceptable to those that do have the authority to hold someone accountable. You disagree?

I’m sure there are some posters over there who have no way of holding anyone accountable that find it “unacceptable” too.
So I don’t have to venture over there to find humor in that ridiculous notion.

I think you are overthinking.

Relax man. No one is calling for pink slips. Big difference in finding something

to be unacceptable vs pink slips. I'm sure coach would be the first to tell you this effort was unacceptable. Doesn't mean he's resigning over it.

Had the Missouri series not happened just 2 weeks ago, I wouldn’t be as concerned.

Did any of those teams go on to win a national title? Isn't that the long goal of this program, to finally get that monkey off our back and win it all? Or are we just playing to host regionals and brag about our stadium every year? Because from my standpoint the team that finally wins a title at MSU, if ever, is going to be the one that has the focus and mental toughness to show up and act like they give a crap in EVERY game. They don't have to win them all, but maybe it's advisable to at least try.

The big picture disappointment is it looks like we don’t have a 3rd starter.

I'm not claiming to be smarter than the average bear, but I think I had that figured out by mid season. I don't think there is a lot of hope for us in the postseason unless we get wins out of Mac and Bednar every time they start.

Who cares?

Winning the whole thing in Hoover means nothing.

It's only about getting set up for the NCAA's. Now rest at home, and get ready.

Sit somebody on the bench that can’t make routine plays in the field, occasionally get a base hit, or give max effort.

Hell i don’t know, maybe after the game Lemonis told a good joke, told the guys to relax, no big deal. Go grab a beer and we can try again tomorrow.

We clearly have problems, but we were 5-5 on Sundays in the SEC, so we're not hopeless. Most teams don't have a good third starter. But yea, we're not elite, so we're going to have to either get hot or catch some really good matchups to go far, neither of which is that farfetched and just means we're one of a dozen teams after the top two or three.

It's a shame because we just needed a couple of things to go right for us to be elite this year, and for the most part, they just didn't. Tanner Allen and Rowdy showed up like we expected and then some. Sims was better than anybody could have hoped for. But after that, having a senior just inexplicably forget how to hit was a tough break. Having a starter pitch a hissy fit and quit rather than stick around and get his starting job back (which in hindsight seems very likely would have happened in short order) was a tough break. And then for all the arms we thought we had, where we needed somebody to emerge after McLeod, Bednar, and Sims, nobody stepped up.

Them getting run ruled in Hoover had nothing to do with either of those teams falling short of a national title. Florida won their first title in 2017 and lost a game 16-0 in Hoover that year. South Carolina won their first title in 2010 after going 0-2 in Hoover.

It just doesn’t really matter. And is certainly not any kind of indicator of what the next several weeks will be like.

I don’t give a 17 abt being run ruled in this meaningless tourney.

Especially if we end up being a national seed which is pretty likely.

Yep. I had to look it up but:

As a general rule, avoid the phrase "I think" when writing or speaking. It weakens your point.
