From what I've seen so far, UNC, Maryland, Kansas and UK, ......hoping for improvement on our part!

UNC, Michigan State, Virginia, and Xavier.

I think UNC is the best team, but who knows. Also, this could certainly be a year when some JV teams crash the final four party. Wouldn't be shocked to see a low seed or two (i.e. 6 seed or lower) reach the final four. All about matchups and the draw this year.

Michigan State

I know it's not smart to put Big12 teams in the FF but they might actually do something this year.

As of now:
Kansas
West Virginia
UNC
Oklahoma

IMO there are so many teams that can get to the FF this year. Maybe as many as 20. UK included. No true heavies. Just a lot of good teams.

I predicted this before the season started:

UK
Michigan St.
Iowa St.
Zona

I will stick to that, though I might have Kansas in there based on play thus far, but you can't go by play in December.

I still think Cal can get this team to the Final Four, his track record is impressive so far and guards dominate in the NCAA tourney. Our guards are going to be among the best in the nation going into the postseason.

Two ACC teams
Two mid majors

I really hope UK makes it five of the last six, but Murray and Skal are square pegs. Alex needs to take over, but it's not in his DNA. Too many teams out there who'd love to knock us off and bite into our success.

I know the 2011 and 2014 teams put it together in March, and both did it the incredibly hard way in the tournament, but I just don't want to get my hopes up with this bunch. Can easily see us losing in the second round because Murray goes 2-for-20 or we go 14-32 at the line. Hope this team surprises me because those are the sweetest runs. Last year was nerve wracking.

Every year it's up in the air, this year it's even worse. Who knows, the season is 1/3 over and there's been more upsets than I've ever seen.

I never make final 4 predictions before selection Sunday. It's all about match ups. And your 4 teams right now could end up in the same region.

If you want to know my 4 number ones seeds that's a better question:

Oklahoma
Michigan State
Kansas
North Carolina

And I think 2 of them make the final 4. Maybe only 1. Along with a power conference team or two seeded 2, 3, or 4.

Then a surprise team seeded 6 or lower.

Agreed.

It's much easier to predict the 1 seeds. Hard to pick the Final Four because you don't know who might get lucky and/or hot in the tourney. Plus, two or three teams in your Final Four could end up in the same Region.

My 1 seeds before the season started were:

South- UK
East- UNC
Midwest- Maryland
West- KU

Right now, it is looking like:

South- Oklahoma
Midwest- KU
East- UNC
West- Michigan St.

Still a lot can change in the next few months.

It's a crazy year. Not too long ago people were touting Xavier as a top team on twitter. The same Xavier team that just lost 95-64 to Villanova.

to be fair, though - they lost Edmond Sumner (who is being called their most "important" player) early in the game to injury. It wasn't just an ankle roll, he had to be taken off on a stretcher. Not only did they lose his production, but I believe the concern for their teammate affected the play for the whole team.
That's not to say they wouldn't have gotten beaten soundly anyway - but it's a mitigating circumstance.

Im not sure how anyone can predict UK to the Final Four today, but we are homers so that is what we do. Having said that, KU, UNC, MSU and some random 4th team that could be UK or could be OU or Duke or whoever.

Those saying UNC is the best team ... Currently losing to Georgia Tech in Chapel Hill while getting some serious zebra love. They've let Tech hang 40+ on em in the 1st half. That defense is putrid.

Anyone who puts Iowa State in their Final Four after losing Naz Long is not keeping up.

Imagine if we lost Briscoe for the year...that's the kind of Impact Naz Long had, and they only go 6 deep now.

Is he out for the year? I had not heard that.

Anybody know which year had the lowest (or highest, depending on how you say it) seeds in the FF? By that I mean, one year they had all 4 #1 seeds, so I am looking for the opposite. Which year had the "worst" collection of teams in the FF.

It was 63rd coming into that game, so I'm sure it will get worst. Cheaters will win that game I'm sure though. I wish I liked more teams in the ACC because whenever UL, UNCheat and Duke play each other, it's a lose/lose situation. You can almost add Syracuse in that group now, because I almost hate Boeheim as much as those 3.

Out for the season, and most likely will transfer elsewhere and play a full medical redshirt year next season

Thanks for the info.

Can he shoot the 3?

If so, go get him Cal. That's what we need for next season, an upperclassman that can shoot the 3.
