Has anyone heard if there will be a special distinction for the perfect regular season on the Final 4 banner, Mods?

Have not heard if there will be anything different about the final four banner, but I do know that there is not going to be any type of celebration, at Rupp. I suppose the final four banner will be unveiled next season.

There won't be (IMO), it will match the other banners - let's be honest, perfect regular season's are only good memories, they have no bearing on whether you are a NCAA Champion. UConn's season last year was better than ours.

Would you call last season more of a success because the team made it to the title game even though this team won 38 games and made the Final 4? This is more of a general question to all.

If we had gone 40-0 their damn sure would have been a distinction. Not now...

Just another 'ole Final Four banner....

I love that our fans were gung-ho about not celebrating the SEC tournament championship in any way because "we have more important nets to cut down" but they want to permanently memorialize the fact that we won all the games that didn't ultimately matter at all.

Please no. Everyone in the NFL made fun of this so much I think the Pats finally took it down ...

My sentiments as well. Honestly I wouldn't even care if we didn't hang one at all, but tradition demands at least that much respect. They did make it that far, and it is a big deal. I suspect by next Fall I'll be glad to see it go up there. 38-0 is a pretty big deal as well. That had never been done in a single season. Time does heal all wounds. Well most of them anyway.

UK fans need to get past this silly "we ain't cuttin down no nets, ain't puttin up no banners lest it be for a national championship! " Bogans was not wise to deny BBN the Nets in New Orleans and we not get em in Nashville! Wildcat fans need to celebrate this year. Even if the Badgers win tonight, guess what...UK still has a better record and more guys going to the NBA. 38 straight wins and no banner?!!! NO, there's rings, nets, and banners for this year even without number 9. SEC championship, NCAA Regional Champs, and yes, 38-0 start ALL deserve banners. Hey, we don't storm courts, but we do give our guys their due.

Even IU didn't put 32-0 on its National Championship banner. One of the few times I will compliment them.
