I would be a man and not worry about things I can’t control or what others think of me.
Not you, everyone knows all the expert armchair coaches are tough guys. But at least you somehow justify it lol.

A fan base happiness has a direct correlation with the team’s success.

However, a fan base’s happiness or lack there of won’t prevent a team from getting better or worse. That’s on the leadership.

we get your bravado. You’re amazing as a fan, probably the best here.

I really wanted Frost to be the head coach. I got what I wanted so I'm going to support him until the end.

How dare fans be a little disillusioned after Moos said 2 years ago that Urban Meyer and Harbaugh were running scared, and Frost said we'd be really good in 2 years, and compared his QB to Pat Mahomes, and said the Big Ten would have to adjust to his brilliance.

I will too, my man. In my support I’ll be brutally honest just like I am with my employees.

I may have been too drunk on kool aid as I thought we’d be much better than we are right now, and it’s amped up my discontent.

but I’m down with Frost till the end. I think he gives a **** and that’s more than we’ve had in a long time.

I can agree with that. Thus far he's done a **** job, but for better or worse, we have to ride it out with him.

okay, well if 2 years from now and we still can’t find a winning record - Nebraska has to look in the mirror than look into their history and go back to what works, and hire a guy that runs the ball and hire another guy that knows how to build a defense

I'd give him at least four full recruiting cycles. The transition one wouldn't count.

We’re headed for a 3rd consecutive year with a 4-8 finish. 4 out 5 years of losing record and we’re supposed to be happy singing Kumbaya? I’m sorry but this is unacceptable. Especially for the amount of money and support the Big Red Nation puts forth. We deserve better.

Now I will say that our administration put us in this **** hole that we’re in and Frost is trying to get us out. It’s clear that Frost has been out coached in A LOT of games this year and we should be critical of that. Not calling to fire him, but I would like to see a better product on the field.

As usual, a good post sir with reasonable thoughts. However, in my blind opinion, a decent OLine would help HCSF endless boatloads. With a totally inept OLine maybe no one can look good when playing any decent opponent.

I agree with you. And our O-Line has looked better as of late but now it’s our QB who is making horrendous decisions. Seems like everyone is always on different stages.

If we had targeted them early on it wouldn't seem so desperate, but we're only after a few of these guys because we've been striking out on almost every player left on our board
I know and the jucos we're going after now are not being recruited by anyone except us for the most part

Yeah, its just the boards. That's why Wan'Dale's dad had to tweet that his kid is happy where he's at.

What's gained from being supportive? If you were a player right now, would you rather have fans tweeting you're trash and play for a garbage program or fans that tell you that you're a Husker and we have your back, keep working?
... says the guy with a dumpster fire as an avatar. I'm sure it means the Huskers are a dumpster fire in a good way.

I would say a fan bases expectations have a correlation to success...not happiness. I was the most happy in 98 when the cubs made the playoffs...i didn't expect them to win and it made me happy. Last year they lost in the playoffs and I was disgusted...something that made me happy 20 years ago was taken for granted. Nebraska fans are best at taking things for granted. We expect to be better than other teams...even though we have zero competitive advantages over other teams. Our one shiny star is the fact our fans fill the stadium, this is a negative for a bad team though because it puts pressure on kids that can't respond.

I got in trouble for saying this. Watch out. Can’t criticize at all

I don't like how many jucos we're going after late. Seems desperate
Well it is. We are going on 4 losing seasons in 5 years. We still play in Nebraska, can't recruit the northeast, and apparently are steering clear of the west. We went hard into the south but we aren't going to pull kids to a school that has lost so much so recently unless we pay them cash. Last years class was really good but it will be two years before they mature so we had to ride with jucos...rearrange the system to be able to be learned quickly and follow the K. St... model. Once the staff shows it can coach and win then we might pop bigger classes.

Apparently Nebraska is smarter than everyone else.
What is that supposed to mean? You don’t think we would like to run the ball and play defense? I mean we are extremely run heavy now and I’m sure we would like to stop people. You really think we just choose not to succeed? Come on

We won't land both of them. Might not even get Manning.

Sad!
Probably true. But rolling our eyes at all JUCO’s is silly. We’ve had some big time instant impact guys from the JUCO ranks and could certainly use some more.

There's a yuuuge difference between offering top JC players that would start day 1 or upgrade a position instantly, and offering lightly recruited JC guys late in the process.

No, Wandale’s dad had to come out with that as people on twitter and elsewhere saw him going ham liking negative tweets such as Wan’Dale needing to transfer, Wandale getting far away from Frost and Walters, and the coaching staff running him into the ground.

No he had to do it because of the asinine rumors started and spread on social media and boards like this one. It’s one thing to notice a guys likes, it’s another to completely fabricate rumors. We had a poster on this very board claiming to have inside sources and that Wandale was as good as gone. That stuff is the same reason we had a volleyball player that had to let everyone know she isn’t having our QB’s baby.

Minnesota is who we want to be. Wisconsin is who we used to be.

Juco U is who we are.
Well, Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa might be our ceiling in the Big 10, but that sure wasn't our perceived ceiling in the Big 12 - like most fans I cringed at the arrogance of Steve Pederson's infamous "We will not surrender the Big 12 to Oklahoma and Texas", but Pederson wasn't factually wrong - running with those two was indeed the program's goal. In 2003, this state would have gone ballistic if Pederson had said "Our goal is to become Wisconsin/Minnesota/Iowa".

Sadly a certain former Nebraska player that works at 1620 was the originial source of the Moos rumors. Why? Because they were wondering why he wasn't in the public eye for a couple of months. Him and that fat, bearded guy at 247 that is a heart attach waiting started the Moos rumors and then they couldn't handle the blacklash.

This former player has not learned his lesson either. The volleyball player that took a medical leave for some stomach issue was hinted at by this former player to involve the football team. It never did. Then it spread to being pregnant and people trying to tie it to the players suspended form the team.

Some people need to feel the world is ending to feel good. It's no different than dumb people that have to be angry at the world 24/7 because of their own failures in life to feel good.

Happiness does not exist in those peoples lives. Instead they are miserable people and some will die alone and some even alone and angry at the world.

The rumor mill in Lincoln is always crazy. Doubtful the rumors would have been churning had his dad not been liking tweets of Wandale needing to get out of Lincoln ASAP.

Who knows, maybe his dad was just pissed like the rest of us were. Maybe he believes those things. Luckily, it seems as Wandale is happy because he’s the future on offense.

Maybe he was comparing the haircut to Mahomes??
