I never take brackets too seriously.
For example - always have SHU losing in 1st round regardless of oppenent.
Will have them losing in 1st round this year as well.

On the womens side, I always pick Rutgers to win it all then work backwards.

If Rutgers makes it, how do I not pick them to win it all - regardless of oppenents?

pick your team to lose early. If they lose early your bracket is still looking good. If they win it all you don't care about your bracket.

The downside of picking your team to go far is if they lose early you both have to endure the loss and then trash your bracket as well.

will pick RU in the 1st round. For second round it depends on the opponent. If a #1 or 2 seed it will be tough to pick Rutgers.

Make 2 brackets ....one for the head and one for the heart. If Rutgers makes a run in the dance, you’ll be thrilled. If they lose early you can still root for the other bracket.

Might as well go with 8 brackets. One having them lose the first round and the other 6 having them advance to each subsequent round, then the 8th bracket having them lose in the finals. Somebody check my math.
