The guy who threw the sucker punch is wearing a navy T-shirt, black jeans, and white sneakers. If you watch the complete video, there's only one guy walking around wearing those clothes, and the front of his navy T-shirt has an Atlanta Braves logo on it. Pause the video at 1:05 to see a clear shot of him.
I know those guys like the one without his shirt hitting everyone. Eventually, they hit the wrong person and get 17ed up.
The sucker punch guy needs to be arrested.
Yup. This is worth the PD tracking down and publicizing. Throw out a $1k reward for identification of the two roid raging idiots and a $5k for identification of the most vicious sucker puncher. Can’t stop fights but if the sucker puncher spends some time in jail, even if it’s just six months, maybe people will at least second guess whether they want to sucker punch someone like that.
Very sad to see that. As the parent of a high school senior and a college sophomore I’m grateful to have kids who haven’t acted like that. It would be my fault if they did.

They were blocking intersections in and out of town** Seriously though, how the hell did they not show up? I saw a hugh fight in the Hunt Club parking lot years back that seemed to go on for half an hour. They never showed..
Pretty obvious he was involved based on his comments on Twitter. Starkville PD is chicken poop if they don’t address this type of behavior stat.
As an alcoholic, I’m not the best example to pose that scenario to. But binge drinking after a game was rarely affected by how the people around me drank before or during.
As for these kids, I doubt seriously if Having access to alcohol inside the stadium would have had a deterrent affect.

Pink shirt dude at the beginning gets knocked out at some point. Dude with the Atlanta braves shirt was with roof rage broski. That’s pretty terrible especially in a church lot. Dude that got sucker punched didn’t even look like he was doing anything.
Wonder if SPD has even seen the video? All the evidence they need is on the twitters, including names of likely participants
Yep. Wasn’t even his fight. You can see at the beginning he just walked up looking for trouble and the roid rage guy was the perfect one to recruit him. Effing coward.
But it’s like I tell my son. Keep your mouth shut, and when **** goes down, don’t be the hero. GTFO of there. You cannot control these other idiots, but you can remove yourself from there and minimize the chances of eating concrete.

After looking on Twitter for about 5 minutes, it appears as though the ******* group was a mixture of MSU and USM guys. Even found names for no-shirt guy and Braves shirt guy. Looks like they may be Kappa Sigma. Starkville PD needs to get off their asses and get some arrest warrants.
One last bit of advice for any students reading this thread. Don’t try and be peacemaker after punches have started to fly. These knuckle draggers got what they wanted. Violence. Once that happens, there are only 2 real options. 1) Pick your friends up off the ground and haul *** out of there. Call the cops if you feel the need or 2) If you absolutely see no other option and have to defend yourself, even if you’re not a fighter, you ball up your fist as tight as you can, and punch the other guy in the nose AS HARD AS YOU CAN. This option isn’t preferred, but it beats the hell out of getting ragdolled while you’re trying to de-escalate.
It would be if one were pointed in my face. I'm betting it would be for 99% of people.
I have always heard that to defend yourself against a brawler, take the heel of your hand as hard as you can to their nose, driving the cartilage right through their brain. Pretty sure that would be a deterrent for the “next time”, as every time they drink after that, and then try to speak, the beer will just drool out the sides of their mouth while their permanent nurse pushes them around to the bars in their freaking wheelchair.

Maybe not kill him but as someone else said, he’s going to be staring at the barrel of a gun deciding how it goes next. If I pull a gun, I have every intention of using it If necessary. That 17er had absolute total disregard for another person when he did that. I saw the same thing happen in Shreveport in 1993.. And the guy who took the hit was paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of his life. Exact same scenario. Sucker punch. So yeah, if that guy hit me or anyone in my family like that and I’m concealed carrying, no question I’ll pull down on him. And the guy who threw the sucker punch as well as the shirtless guy with the rage issues, would both do well to read all this. Because the only reason they got away with that **** Is because they got lucky with who they were screwing with last night. I have a son up there if he was on the receiving end of what that shirtless guy was dishing out, I’d shoot him without hesitation. There’s fighting and then there’s trying to ruin someone’s life. That POS Took that way too far.

People that drink to excess are drinking anyway. So by offering more of a window, this will improve the situation? Not buying it.
Frankly I don’t care about drinking at games, but if you do, these incidents will only make that likelihood harder if they don’t get better policing. This can’t happen.

This fight is over 6 hours after the game was completed. That means on average all alcohol bought and consumed during the game has already left the system. As far as binge drinking during a game it's always better for them to be binge drinking beer as opposed to hard liquor. People that don't understand alcohol or don't have much experience with it really shouldn't try to control how others consume it. I'm literally arguing to make your world more safe for you and you still don't approve.
