To each his own, but I personally have no idea as to why some aren’t all that excited about the season.

Leach, air raid, Costello, Hill, and SEC football EVERY week... I’m about as pumped as I’ve ever been

It’s almost like it’s not even real at this point. I’m almost afraid to acknowledge it for fear that I might jinx it from happening.

People will be excited once it gets here. 15 days is a long way to go with everything that is going on with Covid

I'm kinda that way too. I'm approaching this season with a bit of trepidation. There are a couple of nightmare scenarios that rattle around in my head:
1. We **** the bed completely.
2. We go unbeaten and claim our first SEC title since 1941 but it will forever have an * next to that title.
3. We go unbeaten and Bama claims another national championship, similar to 1941.

When we win the SEC this year, we definitely won't have an asterisk next to the title. All of the other years will have an asterisk because they didn't win theirs against a 10 game SEC schedule.

I am hopeful. But until the day before the game, I dont think Ill be too pumped up as 2 weeks is an eternity this year.

The 1941 team went 8 - 1 - 1.

I now wish they would have started this weekend like the other two P5's. Maybe on the flip side the late start will enable the school sell mini package tickets if things get better and allow limited tailgating later in the season.

It may be a mess, but with Leach it will at least be an entertaining mess. Didn't we average like 4 points a game in our regular season losses in 2018? Yeah, those days are over. We may give up 60 on more than one occasion, but our offense should at least make for a fun time.

There is absolutely zero pressure on Leach this season and very little expectations for this to be anything more than a 4 or 5 win team. Great year to just sit back and relax and see what happens. Kinda similar to how I felt about Mullen's first year in 2009, which even though we went 5-7 I would say that was an enjoyable year as well, especially considering what came before it.

No doubt that they will compete for the SEC. The defense is going to shock people

Us and this season are sort of like a 10-11yo kid at Christmas. We know the 25th (26th in this case) is coming and Santa should be coming. But we’ve seen and heard enough lately to not be sure if a fat man is really coming down the chimney. He may show up with that red ryder, but it’s equally likely we get woken up by our dad’s cussing at whatever foreigner decided to design a bike that has to be put together using 4 different sized allen wrenches.

Would be nice, but it's still hot. Sure it'll be better two weeks from now.

I'm anxious for State to start, but it has to benefit our team to start later. We are getting in a whole spring worth of extra practices, but WITH our transfer QB.
