I like the subject and the title how many Fields of Excellence can we post? Fire away

Unfortunately we don't have many in the Chicago area, most fields have been converted to artificial turf now.

Strange offset home stands there at Blanco. Looking at them from the field, they stretch L-R from around the 10 yd line on one side to the 30 on the other.

It looks smaller than the other sections. Possibly a special add on for the band?

Possibly.

If you really want to talk smaller, check out the size of the squad on the visitor side. I count 9 kids wearing helmets on the sideline, in addition to the 11 on the field. The squad on the home sideline doesn't look much larger.

Blanco appears to have room for about 2,000 in their stands and their population is 1,739.
So they've got their priorities proper.

Plus they wen't 14-1 last year, winning 4 playoff games in the 3A D2 brackets.

Agreed. I miss grass :-(

I know it isnt practical anymore but I miss changing logos and designs... seeing which logo the groundskeeper would use in the beginning of the season and how he/she would paint the endzones for the playoffs. I miss it.

Maybe I'm Larry Holmes status now and am just reflecting back on the glory days
