UT has been playing on a short field all day. Niswander is averaging about 30 yards per punt. That is making it even more difficult for our D to stop UT drives when you consider how much time our D has been on the field. Add to that MItchell's mishaps, and we just can't afford that type of special teams deficit when we are playing a team as talented as UT.

No, it's our offense that's killing us. Defense is playing decently, Mitchell's sending kickoffs into endzone, and punting is OK. Our offense isn't moving the ball, which is the killer.

Are you sure you don't have the kickers in orange confused with those in purple.

Are you kidding? Punting has been awful when it counted. It's a lot easier to score when you are starting at your 40 yard line rather than your 20. It also puts a lot more pressure on our defense. We all knew our offense would be limited but we needed to match or outplay their play on special teams and that has not happened. I am sick of falling so short in our kicking game. That is one area that should not be hard to fix.

Are you blind? Niswander just "blasted" a 15 yard punt. Oh yeah, punting is just dandy.

Truthfully, I can't believe Niswander is on scholarship. He just doesn't seem to be the answer.

OK, it could be better, but I just don't think that's what did us in today. We can't win games like this with this offense.

Special teams can help a struggling offense be more effective. Today our special teams play made the challenge for our offense more daunting. That should not happen.

Did it not seem like Niswander was punting to please the coaching? I believe he was capable of better punts, it seemed like it he punting in a certain way, strategically...just didn't work.
