How many do teams keep on the roster? We are out as of now? Collins is it?

Anyone have thoughts as to when and/or if Luckenbaugh or Kuhbander is going to return this season?

(If you were to tell me at the beginning of the season that we wouldn’t have a kicker, Thorson would have the same amount of interceptions as he does touchdowns, and Jeremy Larkin would retire a few games into this season BUT we were going to win the west...it’s been a wild and amazingly fun season)

Teams have at most 1 kicker and 1 punter on scholarship. Often the kicker or punter isn't even a scholarship player until they earn one with their play (Jack Mitchell). Charlie and Jake have scholarships, the other kids don't.

Jake Genyk is a walk-on (and presumably related to the coach of the same name) shown on the 2-deep as 4th option at Kicker. Daniel Kubiuk is a former QB now listed as a punter, and Cody Gronewold is a walk-on punter.

That's it.

Perhaps NU can sign the Bears place-kicker? Oh never mind, he’ll just bounce the ball off the uprights and is getting a guaranteed 9 Million to do so. ;)

Yep; was talking with Midvale about the same thing. Brian Huffman, IIRC.
It’s amazing how NU fans seem to recall the absolute worst moments in their history more than the best moments. Can’t go too long without hearing about Akron, ISU, the comeback, Alamo Bowl, Moon, missed kicks, etc

Isn't that just human nature?

That TCU game stuck with me because I was there. And the scenery was memorable too.

But oh man, ask me about Victory Right, Victory Right II, pick sixes against Minnesota, Sean Wieber and the slant, watching an Iowa comeback with Alaska, Kain Colter and Jeremy Ebert vs. Nebraska, and so on, and so on...

We're all traumatized, but I certainly have just as strong a memory of the great moments. Victory Right, 54-51, Brendan Smith pick 6, TaxSlayer bowl win, the ND comeback/Jack Mitchell, touchdown in the wrong end zone at Wrigley, etc

Miami (OH), Musso's non-fumble...
but I don't think it's unique to NU fans. Every retiring coach mentions that the lows of losses eventually felt worse than the highs of winning.
What is most interesting to me is that fans always remember the dropped interception or fumble, etc that cost us a game or two, but never the dropped interception or fumble of the opponent that allowed us to win a game or two.

As I recall it took FloridAlum and myself the first quarter to drag you inside to the game. "No, no, just one more lap AROUND the stadium...PLEASE."
