I am not saying he is hurt at all but you can walk around fine on a torn ACL

Yep, in fact, you can run full speed ahead just fine, it's the planting and cutting that is the issue. Back in the day, small town HS kids used to play weeks with them before they got around to seeing a Dr or the traveling athletic trainer got to their town. Once, when I was coaching HS basketball, I had a kid tear his ACL in football and played all basketball season with it braced up.

So it wasn't discussed at the press conference?
Not that I could find. Weird. My gut says he is probably injured. But the longer this drags on the more I wonder. Perhaps they are waiting for when the surgery is over and they will have a better idea of his prognosis and when he might be able to return, if ever.

They talked to dinglefritz and decided to preemptively remove all players acl's.

That is insane, must have been a tough kid! I know some people tear there meniscus & ACL at the same time, not sure if that's possible to get by day-to-day compared to just ACL.

Frost will be up front Thursday. I'd expect something then.
Seriously? When has Frost been "up front" about any injury? Kid could have a compound fracture and he's likely to say, "Yeah, he's got kinda dinged up. Gonna miss a little time."

Dave Rimmington played virtually his whole career without at least one of his ACLs so maybe there's some merit in your suggestion. A frat brother of mine who was his backup said that actually he didn't have an ACL left in either leg.

Google Dave Rimmington and ACL injury. I was 6', 165 lbs for most of my 20s and 30s. Rimmington was a 300 lber taking on D linemen in college and the NFL.

Wasn't Adrian ticked at Frost for disclosing his jaw injury?

Goes both ways I guess.

I don't care about your ligaments; no not that. What I'm not buying is that you actually played basketball. No one who has ever played, competed, and followed basketball for the length of time you claim would ever make this statement:
IF I were choosing between Russell Westbrooke and Trey right now, I would cut Russell and sign Trey today. Trey's better than him.
"I'll take Trey McGowens over Russell Westbrooke".....said no BB player ever.

Wasn’t that because he Martinez hadn’t told his family. Plus he was still playing in games. Players will target that injury. Different circumstances
Circumstances for injuries and how the player wants them portrayed will always be different in each case. There doesn't seem to be a "one size fits all" on injuries where the "fans" really know everything and that may be from the player or coaches. Maybe a player doesn't want to be seen as weak or susceptible to injury and just let it die down, hoping to make it back.

I am one who is OK with keeping it between the coaches and player. The media and message boards will speculate if there is too much or not enough information anyway.

As for Adrian, I didn't think he wanted the opponents to know so they wouldn't target him, could be wrong.

Who knows.

A lot of tough guys stories! I love it!

If you just read through this thread the % of small town HS boys with torn ligaments in Nebraska is like 75-80%.

They probably all have torn pecs too...from benching 415.

We had a group of former college players, coaches and local businessmen who played every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for an hour full court at an area college. Most of us owned our own business or professional practice. One guy played professionally in Australia and Europe. He coached big men at Stockton's basketball camp. Another guy played in Europe and then was signed by the Celtics and was on their roster for parts of 2 seasons.

I had to quit 20+ years ago due to a hip injury but the group is still playing. I think there's only one guy left from our original group. It was great fun and good basketball. Hell Tim Miles played with us a couple of times when he was in town coaching at a basketball clinic. He was an assistant at some directional D2 school then I think. He was awful.

Russell Westbrook is done. He's awful. The Lakers are going to beg somebody to take him and his contract. At least McGowens would have a minimal contract and be some threat from the 3 pt line. You're problem is that you're looking at what Westbrook (not spelled with an E on the end FYI) WAS 5 years ago and not what he is today. He's a has been.

As a 9 time All-Star and and can ONLY average 18 a game this year against the best players in the world. Only 5 years removed as the League MVP....

Has-been or not, I bet Westbrook could come to the pick up game and still kick ***.

Never liked him as a person, but the SOB could flat out play. He's not the player he was, but he'd be my first pick in a pick-up game.

I can't believe I have to point this out but here we go......

Westbrook averages 18.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 7.2 apg THIS SEASON.
Trey McGowens averaged 6.8 ppg, 4.1 rebs, and 1.5 apg THIS SEASON

Westbrook scored 22, 22, and 20 points in 3 NBA games THE PAST WEEK.
Trey McGowens did not score 20 points in any single college game THIS SEASON, scored double figures in only two (2) games with a season high of 12 points.

Accepting your proposition that Westbrook is a washed-up pro, what does that say about McGowens in comparison? It says that Trey McGowens is no where near as talented or skilled as Russell Westbrook - always has been, is today, always will be..

Stop digging.... or not. If Trey gets any time in the NBA he should rightfully be proud and enjoy his time there. Its a long shot but I wish him the best.

Maybe Adrian should have asked him not to. Like talk to people about what you are thinking dude. Already hearing teammates so wow, this new qb talks to us and stuff

I put the odds of no conversation on the topic between AM and Frost at 0%.

it won't be mentioned by Frost but Fidone got injured in 7-7 shell passing drills that was supposed to be minimal contact when an overzealous walkon ignored the minimal contact directive and took him out at the knees with a full force tackle

If its true about Fidone I see him transferring somewhere. This program is cursed for sure
Curse or no curse, the reality is the top recruit (per Rivals rating) in everyone of Frost's recruiting classes from 2018-2021 has been arguably a disappointment either in on-field productivity or in long-term value to the program given their lofty recruiting rankings - for various reasons (development, desire, use, injury, or transfer). This includes Fidone ('21), Corchoran/Betts ('20), Robinson ('19) and Martinez ('18). Fidone, assuming injuries don't derail his career, Corchoran, and Betts still have time to change that. Hopefully they will.

If true, this news is sickening and what did the walkon not understand about minimal contact and going after his knees..😡

although I'm sure the rest of the henchmen will come out as well to be sure it gets discredited followed by the post getting taken down and a ban once the HI staff get their orders from the athletic department
