He removed “Nebraska TE” from his profile and now says TE @ _____. Anything to this? Granted he still has his commitment tweet pinned

I would liken this to the old ‘if a tree falls in the forest..’ metaphor

As in - if he doesn’t tweet, would anyone know he was gone?

Agreed, just saw a couple recent tweets from him and noticed he removed Nebraska from the TE@ line which is kinda strange but whatever, just wondering if anyones heard rumors out there

Wildest rumor possible would be “he’s playing on _______” not @ _______

Too bad, really

As soon as he got injured, I feared we may never see him play at DONU. Hope I’m wrong!

He's been snakebit since he signed here.....couldn't hold it against him if he wanted to try his luck elsewhere. Having said that, I hope he stays and makes an impact with the new staff.

I think he wanted to play this year and he’s very frustrated. Having said that he’s a lifelong Husker fan and could be in line for a starting spot next year.

he has been at varying degrees of odds with the rehab plan

He is into a lot of alternative therapies

Cryo and “red-light” therapy for example

Probably waiting to see who NU hires. Hard to be critical of the guy when he, like most of us, got hoodwinked by Teflon Scotty, the ultimate fraud. Hope he gets healthy and chooses to stay, but good luck to him whatever happens.

Two thoughts, One he sees it’s likely his position coach is gone in a matter of days and secondly, he watched the TE from Pierce the other day and said “Whoa”-JK.

If Beckton isn't retained, there's a good chance the TE from Pierce will go to Iowa State.

New coach has to re-recruit the roster as well as new players, all in very short order.
It could be a very tough road.

Well I think Fidone just gave us a big indication that Rhule is probably the coach. One thing about Matt is he doesn’t seem to like to utilize the TE in the passing game.

Just reviewed the receiving stats while he was at Baylor and none of his TE did any damage while he was around

Also know from playing fantasy football that the Carolina Panthers TE have sucked since Matt came there. Matter of fact, Greg Olsen who was like a top 5 TE before Rhule got in CAR and Greg left when Matt became coach.

I know people will turn a blind eye to this but the fact is Rhule isn’t a big TE user for moving the ball. Which is crazy because it’s the best miss match on the field. And TE is something that the State of NE has actually produced some good ones. Matt would screw up Kelce, that’s how awful he is when it comes to TEs

I really think we are getting a Billy C 2.0 with Rhule but without the fantastic recruiting side. Just wish my dad could see us be good again before he dies cause it’s going to be another 5 to 6 years before we can even have real strong hope… Rhule will be the guy before the guy. Matt will cleanup the line play, which is good but he won’t be able to produce the wins we hope for… he’s not a $9MM guy

Fidone needs to add bulk. He is very undersized and that contributes to his constant injuries. Wish him well regardless!

It usually is the opposite...coaches try to add 20 lbs to a build that cannot sustain that so quickly and have knee issues. Being skinny has nothing to do with it

Just stop. This has been going on with Fidone long before the Rhule rumors. He has allegedly has frustrations with a couple current “coaches”, not with what Rhule did to your fantasy football team.

The first injury was just a freak occurrence. The 2nd injury was a result to trying to rush him back before he was ready. Staff was actually doing the right thing with him by giving him the year off.

Anyone that thinks him leaving isn’t a a major loss has me 🤦‍♂️… we can’t lose talent like this when we have very little talent to begin with. And no, Rhule has never recruited well

Facts? Do you have any? Or we just going to say “just stop” with no evidence? Cause I can at least go back to since Rhule was at Baylor and show very underwhelming stats for TEs in the passing game. I can show that Greg Olsen jumped ship when Matt came to town. These are facts. They can be proven.

And what Rhule did to my fantasy team, oh burn. So got me there with something I didn’t even say, you just made up like you made up the rest

The fact is you are wrong, as usual. Fidone took the Nebraska stuff off his social media long before Rhule was rumored as coach. So your premise that this is because of who may potentially be the HC is way off base.

Really? He took it off when Frost was fired? Is that a fact ?

cause that’s when Rhule to Nebraska started.

You really are bad at facts and like spinning things to equal your narrative. And you have trouble with reading and comprehension.

I’ve said Rhule doesn’t like utilizing TE and I think this is an indication of Rhule maybe the coach. I didn’t say I know. I said think you ignorant dumbass. Think means to have an opinion.

Then you go off on how Rhule did something to my fantasy team. Again, you made that **** up.

All I’ve been saying is Rhule’s track records shows he is bad with TEs and in my opinion that Thomas’ doing this could be an indication of Rhule coming. Get over yourself. Geeze man. I get it. Rhule’s your hero. You probably have his poster on the wall. Cool man. Be you

Fidone just told us it’s Coach Prime. He only plays TEs with working knee ligaments.

Athletes of every size and shape, in a wide range of sports, tear ACLs. It's not like Fidone's been missing time because of bumps and bruises.

Not if he can get his knee healthy.
Hope he does heal up and is playing for the Big Red next year. I just remember back when Matt Herian got hurt, he went from being 1st round draft pick as a tight end to being done completely when he hurt his leg in that Missouri game. Hope that isn't the case for Fidone.

I don't and wouldn't blame him one bit for finding a new school next year.
Wished I would of gotten to see him play at Nebraska though.
Good Luck to the young man.
