Feels like the program is dead.

And man I hate saying that.
Sure. It can come back. But it’s going to take finding the right guys to come here. And as we saw with UNC that’s getting harder to do.

I just think it’s going to be a long 365 days.

We need a kick *** for AD.

One that will replace Pope.
One that will rip up that JMI context and say
“Sue me. I don’t give a ****. I’m fixing this”.
and one that will work hard to revamp both FB and Basketball to where it should be.
Yep, Cal stuck a fork in us and Pope is finishing it off.....

Oh please! UK isn’t dead, you must really be young we have overcome much bigger adversity than a bad coach in the past. There is a simple remedy to the problem that will be implemented after next season and hopefully we move on.
Why wait until after next season? I'll be shocked if we make the NIT this season.

Not dead, but on life support. It will take a coaching hire like the previous hires of Pitino and Cal to reinvigorate the program.

At this point, whiff on Stokes go 16-16 and fire Pope. Hope Donovan takes a year off and go get him at any cost.

I feel ya. But just remember, we went from Michael Porter and Mark Coury in the starting lineup to John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins overnight.

Barnhart and Pope have set us behind years, no doubt about that. The best thing we can hope for is that the entire state keeps pressure on the university to get rid of those who should’ve been gone long ago and to straighten this out and make it right.

People talking about this and that in the past. Irrelevant comparisons to current NIL and transfer era.
YES !! It's all relatively new to fans and we're still digesting
it, but you are right and it's important to remember just how different and difficult the NIL$$$ and Transfer Portal, combined with onslaught of international players, have made coaching. It seems to me that simply being a "blue blood" with tradition has certainly lost some, not all, of its advantages. It is much tougher now for everybody ...

Need a few RuppRafter regulars to win the powerball or several UK alumni to become tech billionaires.

Someone on here could start posting YouTube videos and we could all hype them up to create a viral sensation like Mr. Beast.

I'm 45 and we've been way worse than this before. All it takes is competence

Mostly true in the past because of prestige. However now its a different world because money is all that matters and we don't have what we need.

The Mitch hatred of nil permanently damaged uk revenue sports. UL has better nil and they're bringing back schnatter. While Mitch refused, they scooped up everyone in the state with spending power. Then you have the big 10 who just outspends everyone anyway.

So competence won't be enough. The Pope replacement must be excellent or we'll just continue into irrelevance.
