And I'm not talking about my balls. I miss Nebraska playing in New Year's bowls. Tired of debating the "why's", "who's" and "when's." Since I assume Trev and Scott read and reflect on every one of my posts.... You better effin' win next season!

Alright, back to watching OSU get smoked.

Hell at this point I'd take a Noon kickoff on Dec. 28.

With Beth at the play-by-play mic.

It’s alright. We have threads on New Year’s Day reminiscing bowl games from 51 years ago and get to make sh*t out of the 50 teams that actually play in bowl games.

It's over. We will have a new coach next season. 2022 is just the year we all take it in the azz to save buyout money.

As painful as it is, I see 4 wins next year. I won beer for 4 wins or less this year and will again next year…

It's just incredible how bad Scott Frost has been the last 4 years. We've got all these bottom of the barrel programs winning eight and nine games and we can't scrape together a .500 season. Turn up the heat on his seat.

I saw a stat that Nebraska was the first team since 1936 to lose 9 games by single digits. Is next year the year some of those start going the other way?

For the most part I've reached a state of numb indifference. And then on a day like today, it hits me again... "how the f--ck does this guy still have a job?"

This is where I am - frankly looks like Alberts wasn't up for the AD job at this point.

How in the world does he justify keeping a 3-9 coach whose teams routinely find ways to lose in the fourth quarter?

I can't help but wonder if the whole thing unravels after they lose to Northwestern in Dublin. Will they lose the game again with stupid penalties and horrid special teams play? Hard to imagine a scenario where Frost, Whipple and company do not get outcoached by Fitzgerald in that one.

Since we have no choice, I figure I might as well keep an open mind with the new hires. Will Frost REALLY let Whipple run the offense? I wonder.

For ***** sake it was a business decision. Save some money and give Trev time to find his guy. Also, most of the fanbase wanted to give numbnuts another year, so politically, it made sense too.

Meh. At least we didn't have to watch the Huskers get the crap kicked out of them in a bowl game. We'll get em next year...

The economic climate of trying to hire a proven head coach this past year was ridiculous. I view this next year as "tanking to get the top pick"........or maybe it will work the way it is. We can't really sink any lower so.... Just think Urban is available and his image NEEDS a HUGE makeover....Sick

Suppose we did axe frost this year… who do you think we would’ve been able to snag given the wackiness of the coaching coursel?

I’m with ya. The Iowa collapse took everything I had left. The Kentucky game was the first bowl I’ve even been excited to watch. Just insane to see how far Nebraska had fallen. I made a pact with a couple buddies that when Nebraska pulls out of this we’re going to try and go to every bowl game. It’s the Holidays, so sometimes you won’t make it, but we’re going to try and make every single one moving forward.

Frost’s record with a bye week before is even more pathetic than his overall record. Couldn’t prepare our offense for both an even and odd defensive front against Illinois with all of spring and fall practice. He is a terrible HC.

This is a good question, and I'm the first to admit that I don't know the answer.

But I don't think there are many coaches in power 5 that could have done worse than 1-9 against power 5 opponents in year 4 with several 6th year defenders and a 4-year starting QB.

Apparently enough of the big donors didn’t want get rid of SF yet…TA needs to get the next right if this experiment doesn’t work with new coaching changes..

I thought LSU was going land Avanda till Kelly decided to leave Notre Dame..

You think Aranda leaves the cozy recruiting grounds for Nebraska? I suppose he’d be jettisoning a dying Big 12

Pretty easy. 1) There have been reports the Athletic Department isn't as flush as everyone thinks. 2)There is a BIG building project which donors have contributed to and have no desire to contribute to firing a coach with a $20 million buy out. 3)Big donors supported Frost for a minimum of Five years and they don't want to be wrong. 4)The go fund me account you started hasn't reached its goal.

Good call - I'd forgotten about my gofundme account. I really need to get on top of that in 2022.

Aranda is just wishful thinking guess of mine if I was TA… nothing more nothing less…

Big 12 held their own during the bowl season even Cincy will give them a quality team in the future..

add in the fan base is old and complacent. game days at memorial have become nothing more than a social event for the state of nebraska. the acceptance of losing is incredible
