So our DL will have to chase Mason
Great. The hometown article may be a little hyperbolic (4.3-4.5 40 time) but another dark horse running QB for our unproven big DL to contain could be problematic. Our LB/S may really have to spy him.

Also from the article, although SDSU was a lackluster (for them) 9-5 last year, 4/5 losses were when he was injured.

A legitimate concern. Although it is early to expect this, we can keep him off the field by possessing the football. Deep stable of RBs and a mobile QB and a solid (though not deep) OL on our side.

Run the ball, run the clock

After reading such an impressive pre-season rundown on a Cats opponent, I wonder if we should seek to cancel the game and avoid embarrassment. No way NU can keep up.

If, however, it's too late to declare a forfeit -- then my Plan B is to show up, take the field, block and tackle well, spring a few big plays, and emerge victorious. That might be a better approach, after all. :giggle:

I think the betting line should be “pick-em” even Steven. I still think we have a chance if we play really well. No need to forfeit yet. Hopefully we can have a moral victory?
