As a State fan and alum who works for UAB, I think I did a great job putting it together. Especially since he's the only one of our coaches currently coaching for the Blazers

Archery, you did a fine job with this video. I’ve forwarded it to many dawg fans over the last few weeks. Appreciate you putting it together.

Old Fart here...…………

I understand Polk did a lot to move us to the next level and for that I am grateful.

I still would like to see us also recognize earlier coaches and players that made State an extra special place prior to Polk's arrival.

The field is named after a former coach. And Dudy Noble and Boo Ferris were included in the inaugural ring of honor.

Polk did a lot to move college baseball forward. And still is. Great to see someone doing what he loves to help young people. Love that he still uses the typewriter. And the relationship with his former players is astounding.

Great piece. Thanks for sharing.

You do know there were plenty of former players in the pre-Polk era(s) that that did a lot in making our Dogs some pretty darn good teams?

...which ties into why he made a video about Polk, who now volunteers his time at UAB.

Absolutely that's why I mentioned one that was included in the ring of honor: Boo Ferris. Del Unser is another pre Polk player. My point was that we do remember/memorialize pre Polk players/coaches. The name of the field alone is a reference to a pre-Polk era coach who was also AD.
it does not take away from Polk's contribution to our program. He took it to a new level (And so has Cohen. And hopefully Lemonis.) Why are people so anti-Polk? I didnt like the way he acted about Cohen/Raffo situation but he is an important part of our school's/program's history.
