Never said she was better than Ava. She's not even close to Ava, and I wish she was a better shooter, but the team wouldn't be nearly as effective without her out there offensively and defensively. The watching the games comment is dumb.

Now, I will say that AD hasn't lived up to the hype. That's not debatable.
5* recruits are expected to be contributors relatively quickly and definitely before the end of their first year.
If there's stuff going on off the court, that's another discussion.
But apparently one of the reasons JJ got the job was to keep Deal as a recruit.

I think Ava has better technique and is more skilled offensively. That's not really debatable. It doesn't mean she's faster. I think Hannah is still faster.

I am a bit perplexed that pretty much everyone excuses away some VERY questionable HC decisions game after game after game.
Case in point...I've been complaining all season long that JJ absolutely refuses to use fouls at the end of quarters when they aren't in the bonus. Hell, the sportswriter guy asked her about it and she basically said..."My players don't have the basketball IQ to execute it".
Happened again yesterday at the end of 3Q, I believe. FDU proceeded to hit a 3 before the buzzer...for about the 10th time this season.
JJ just gets lost in some games.
And it's gonna cost her at some point in a big game.
Good assts don't automatically make good HCs.
Hannah can defend multiple positions, which is a huge factor in how good our defense is. Leading rebounder and second leading scorer. We’re talking overall player.

So here's the difference between me and you. During a game we might actually agree on a few things. I might for instance question why Hannah is in the game late in the 4th with a lead in a must foul situation. She's a poor foul shooter and will most likely be fouled the second she receives the ball. Jan on the other hand leaves her in there. You and I might both be yelling for her to take her out given the probabilities involved. And yet they win the game. Afterwards (possibly for weeks) you'll be dwelling on this. I on the other hand will be more than happy with the result and subsequent 6 wins in a row. You on the other hand will still be on here complaining about what you didn't like about how each of those 6 wins were coached unless they were all by significant margins. You're hung up on what happens during games. I'm only really interested in how each game ends. Did they win or lose? I think you'd be a lot happier if you were more like me.
