The Big 10 Commissioner said last week at his news conference that the Big 10 supports the 24 plan. I don't know if the SEC supports it, but based on that news conference last week and the questions that were asked, it's becoming apparent that there is some antagonism between the Big 10 and the SEC because the future of college atheltics largely now is in their hands and there is going to be a battle to determine which one reigns supreme. My money is on the Big 10 just because of the major media and populations centers that it now encompasses; the SEC just doesn't encompass what the Big 10 does.

It's going to be a pretty easy decision for the $EC.

Expansion will mean giving up their conference championship game. Can they be guaranteed that the elimination fo the CCG's revenues will be more than offset by the expanded playoff TV revenue? If so, its a no-brainer. If not, I expect the $EC to hold tight at 12.

I'm OK with 16, but i can't stand the ND special exemption rule, whether now or at 16.

That should be eliminated but if we get to 24 then it becomes moot because they wouldn't be left out anyway with that rule

We're thankfully way past that point--there's 138 teams in FBS--8 isn't close to sufficient
