There have been good coaches here before but they just couldn’t sustain winning. I understand why, I also think Will Stein can get the program closer to where we want it and keep it there. He's young hungry and has the will and the drive to win, he also knows what it takes.

That is a massive OL haul for year 1. They will supplement again from the portal, but this is an awesome foundation to build on.

It really is. Black would give us two bookends at tackle alongside Walker, Gerken a promising OG that seems potentially switchable to OT and Hull has potential to be the future at C. I'm not as familiar with Burrell but that's a big body to work with on the interior. Very happy with this first OL class. As you mentioned, we're likely going to be portal heavy for at least another year at that position but it seems staff wants to build the OL the traditional way (unit together for years) if possible going forward.
Stein is empathizing the line early and I think it’s great. Everyone knew he would sign some playmakers and athletes, but winning is done first and foremost in the trenches. We need to be elite on both sides of the line to compete in the SEC and Stein is doing exactly that.

James Franklin is one dude I can't stand. He is a good coach who thinks he is elite that ended up at a program that was much better than he was. Saban he is not.
