FB: Alan Cutler interviews Will Stein

Will Stein is going to take UK football on a fun ride. Of all the coaching changes that happened in the offseason both in this league and across college football in general, I think UK came away with perhaps the greatest hire out of all of them. I wouldn't trade Will Stein and this coaching staff for any other coaching staff out there right now. He's the right man at the right time and I think he's going to have UK doing things many people don't think are possible at UK.
Was a great interview I thought. Will seems very confident he can turn this program into something great and I’m all for it. He’s intelligent and has a hard work ethic so I believe he’ll get it done. Most of us here have been Kentucky fans a long long time, the clock is ticking for us to see this program be something we’ve always hoped it would be. I love the hire and the entire staff is working nonstop to bring the top players in the country, hopefully it’s going to happen sooner rather than later.
I’m actually anxious to see UK football for the first time in a long time.
And guess what, Mitch wasn’t behind the hire.
I'm excited about Stein but I'll be forever grateful for the 10 win seasons Stoops provided. I will certainly never forget those special seasons. I have always had that same appreciation for Claiborne's 9-3 season. Obviously Curci's '77 season is by far the best I've been around for.
Ohh no doubt about it. To all you mentioned. We’ve definitely had a few times where I thought we’d take off and stay consistent and get that SEC TITLE, become what the country would consider a top ten program. That’s probably too high of a wish here year in and year out, but the playoffs now are obtainable occasionally for us I think with Will in charge. Get us a Championship and I could move on happy.
It was a committee that Jacob Tamme led and Mitch is on that committee but not a voting member.
