I’d love to get Lewis back on the train before signing day too.
We got a Kentucky boy who’s going to make us forget all about him in a day or two. lol. He’s The real deal. Not that Lewis isn’t going to be a good player, but he’s not Frymans level as of now. Also, we may still get Brown to flip with him. If that happens and We do get Moss to go with them, best overall class in our history in my opinion, as far as being players at positions of need anyway. I think Jake and Maybe Moss ends as Five stars before all is said and done.

Bateman has a good rep for putting LBs in the league, one heck of a well rounded staff with a younger guy like Stein who these kids can relate to as a closer. Bright future if these guys coach like they can recruit.
LSU’s former coordinator seems to be a big boon in recruiting. Bateman has been around the SEC a long time, and I’ve heard Washington has been very popular on the recruiting trail.
Hopefully, whatever "signing" processes are required in this new age of nil/tp, the ink has already dried...better yet, I hope it has been done on stone tablets...
FB commits aren’t done until signing day, it has always been that way. Hold onto the good ones, and steal some away hopefully.

Stein is letting it rip for sure. It's not about the rankings of any specific recruit, but also who he is winning recruits from. We simply weren't getting these guys in the past.

I don’t think players are required to sign Letters of Intent any more. It’s the NIL deal they basically commit to. But he can just show up and enroll.

I just cannot wrap my head around what this guy is doing off the field. If his product on the field is ANYTHING like his offseason people will hate to see Kentucky on their schedule for a while.
I hope the first culprit of his is beamer .

Is there a FB board I can’t find? My post was merged into this one but I can’t find the post anywhere unless someone responds and I get an alert.

Stuff like this reminds you why Barnhart was the dumbest idiot in the country.
when we were saying fire stoops a decade ago and pay somebody to come in that can recruit there was a lot of fans saying “bUt mUh StOoPs weNt tO tHe MuSiC ciTy BoWl” and all we did was waste a damn decade on that joke.
And since Mitch thought it was a good idea to give him a billion dollars, with no stipulations, we will be giving that asshat money for years.

Never seen anything remotely close to the recruiting job Stein is doing right now for Kentucky football !!

6 (..... + .... !?!?!??) 4 star hits and snaggin' players away from the likes of Clemson and UGA ! c'MON....Is this for real ? Wiping the 50+ year sleep from my eyes!

From my perspective, the problem with Kentucky has primarily resided in the fact that we could put together a roster with starters that could compete within our conference, but we couldn't get enough good players for the second and third string to be able to last thru the attrition on a season of SEC football. In short - not enough quality of players overall, and not enough quality in depth.

In steps Stein and it is glaringly obvious he is really doing great in recruiting and connecting with the young players. I absolutely love this.

I spoke to my lifelong best friend - a Vol fan, and told him They should be hating on Kentucky already. Why ? Getting a player like Lance Heard thru the portal ( hence, no longer with UT) and now you've got this :

Kentucky basketball has been poached on for recruits by Barnes and company for years, getting players we thought we would get, and used to - did. And it levelled the playing field between UK and UT. Now, we're doing to Tennessee in football, what UT has been doing to UK in basketball recruiting / portal.

What's good for the goose ....

My Vol fan friend didn't even know the state of the Vols football recruiting this off season.... Which shocked me, he always has....

It's the dawning of a new era for Kentucky football.

Hallelujah !

PS - another thought thats been migrating thru my grey matter is on specifically this upcoming year....

My feeling is that Stein has instantly made the UK offense look like it can really hang well with the defenses in the SEC. My concern was that the defense would have to play above their pay grade to hang with the powerful SEC offenses they will face, and that is where the success or failure of this yeaqr will hinge....

Well, Stein is making big waves THIS YEAR in shoring up the defense and getting us into a legit area of strong competition against SEC offenses.

THAT is big to me, if my feeling is right. A signing like this is only proof that we may even be better than the most optimistic projections for us THIS YEAR !

Just a special time to have an ear to the ground and a place to talk about it.

The off season of hope continues.

Go Big Blue ! ( sorry for the rambling, long post, just happy to have something great and positive to say about UK football !)
