From Richmond, VA which seems to be an area the new staff is focusing on and having some success in, signed 4-star Andre Clark from the city last year. A lot of talent around there and in the Hampton Roads area which would be nice to tap into as well.

Beating VA Tech and James Franklin in that area would be big. Franklin has been strong there for years.

Will Stein may be the new hero in Lexington. Time will tell but so far he seems to be hungry.
He’s doing things already that’s never been done here. Keep this momentum up on the field and play football like you know how to win and it’s only getting started. Can’t wait for the season to start but I’m loving keeping up with this staff going after all these big dogs.

Are you trying to be funny or do you really think that? Hard to tell with you sometimes. Seriously the more I see and the players we have right now 8 wins isn’t out of the question. If we got on a roll and everything starts going right, who knows. I still say 6 wins his first season with the scheduled we have would be a really good season! Everything after that is great.

I doubt you've ever picked less than 8 wins. Brock Vandagriff dark horse Heisman candidate. Name the 8 teams you think this team will beat

Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but if Stein “kills it” at UK, he’ll be gone the first time his phone rings from any of the usual suspects.
Disagree TF. He has been big blue since he was little. Season tickets for years. Dad played here. If he succeeds wildly then why would he want to go anywhere else. This program would have his stamp on it and big name players would be lining up to come here. No reason to leave.

Hahahahaha. You don't know jackshit. Stick to basketball. This IS his dream job. He's from here and WANTED to play for UK. His family is from Louisville. His family has season tickets.

Please take 10 seconds to do a little research before you embarrass yourself next time.

Bumping the thread so it doesn’t get tossed to the next page. We’ve have three or four more Four star players set their commitment dates and we’re on their lists, Also a couple of high three stars and everyone has great things to say about our staff and Kentucky football overall.

I’ve watched and followed Kentucky football close to 40 years, but I’ve never saw this much excitement from this many Bluechip recruits. This staff has put the work in and had to made contact with most of the top 500 players in the country, they’re making a huge impression as well.

I appreciate the Stoops years, he had a few really good seasons and brought us from two and three wins a year to having some real success, I just never felt like they were confident enough to go after the top 500 kids and didn’t fight hard enough for them. Of course they got a couple who lived close to us, who didn’t get the bigger offers for whatever reason, but not nearly enough to compete with the top half of the SEC consistently. I honestly think it would’ve been a lot worse had he stayed during this new Wild West recruiting.

I’m just glad things turned out like they did, honestly, I 100% wanted John Sumrall at the time and I still think he’s going to be great at Florida, but I wouldn’t trade him or any coach in the country for Will Stein at this moment. He’s hired one of the best staffs in the country and recruiting right there with the best teams in college football. With the talent and coaching from this staff I don’t see anything but success on the field. Sorry for the long post, but i can’t wait for some football.

Maybe pre-NIL that might’ve been true. But Indiana has proven that you don’t have to be a powerhouse to win a title. If you have enough money and the right coach, it doesn’t matter what school you’re at.

You pretty much said exactly how I feal.

I will add the following, many have said that winning can't be achieved at a high level at UK. I never agreed with that, once UK invested in facilities. I beleived UK could win at a high level with the right coach, which I now think we have.

I'm really hoping for a decent season this next year. I know that is asking a lot, with all of the new pieces having to come together quickly. Defensive line had me confused. Apparently, I've not been following the new team well. Are we going back to 4-3 or 4-2-5?

It looks like we'll have a 4-2-5 base, but we'll also be multiple.
