Somehow.... we know we all want to see Favre succeed, and be a decent quarterback. Could you believe the media attention that this would draw if he was somehow mentioned with the better half of quarterbacks in the SEC his senior season. Semi-success could really be great with his name, and his late recruitment.

The way everyone keeps talking this kid must really have some drive too. I've never seen him play, never even watched much film of him, but all the people from the coast swear by his greatness. I'm sure it's his name, but hopefully some of this is a little true.

he looked exactly like a 4 inches shorter version of his uncle. Strong accurate arm, very good runner, tended to sometimes force his passes. He also had 17 tackles and an interception on defense.

So when Masoli's listed at 5'11", that's his real height. But when Favre's listed at 5'11", he's really 5'6". Or at least that's what a lot of posters here seem to think. They need to get over it. His height is an issue, but if he can play, he can play. Just because Henig and Lee sucked doesn't mean all short QBs suck.</p>

Everybody I knew on the coast swore to Antonio Hargro's greatness also, andit took about 3 practices to realizeHargro couldn't play.

I don't know much about Favre except for his huge numbers. I wish he wastaller, but every coach wishes Drew Brees was taller and we seehow that turned out. He mightjust have the arm and the intangibles to get it done. That is what it's about. You either get it done or you don't.Small Drew Brees gets it done whiletall, strong-armed Jamarcus Russell doesn't.

It is like some of us have post traumatic stress syndrome after Henig and Lee when it concerns our own QBs. Yet when Ole Miss gets a sub 6 foot QB we defecate bricks.

And I don't understand why so many people want him to fail. He's taking up one scholarship. And it's not like we passed on the second coming to Joe Montana to sign him. And it's not like signing him stops us from signing another QB next year. As others have said, I'm pretty sure the Croom policy of signing one QB every three years is over. Either the guy can play or he can't. And with Mullen in charge, if the guy can play, he'll play. If he can't, he'll hold a clipboard.

And what does it matter if he a blood Favre or an adopted Favre. He apparently can throw a football, which is really all that matters. His name could be Jingleheimerschmidt for all I care.

But I really agree with you. After all I've read today, I'mhoping fortwo Dylan Favre Wool Sweaters for my anniversary next week. I'll need a white one for the Memphis game and a maroon one for the Auburn game. Forget starting by his senior year, he'll be startingin 2011 if not this season!
