Favorite upset by a UK team

I picked us to win all of those. No upsets listed.

I've been thinking, not trying to hijack a thread, but have UK fans ever rushed the court? I don't remember seeing it in my lifetime? Is there ever a reason for us to?

1998 Duke isn't a huge upset although it's my favorite game of all-time. But my favorite upset of ours is against Ohio State in 2011. No one gave us a chance in that game and it was a heavyweight fight and we won in dramatic fashion. Ohio State was clearly the best team that year and we took them down. And it was against their best; not an off night by them. We shut down Sullinger and played amazing.

Ohio St 2011 knew it was going to be a very hard game and difficult to win. Was hopeful, a little unsure, my buddy Mark and I were at a party and said if we win we will streak down the street. Well, the rest is history LOL.

Duke 1998 in St Pete.. They were ready to hand the trophy to Dook before the tourney started. Was such sweet revenge after holding on to that lucky shot nightmare for so long.

Exactly. That in my mind is what made it a big upset. Duke was on the verge of running us out of the gym. I’d say down 17 with 9 to play, Duke had already been penciled into the final four.

I forget the year, but it was Florida when they were ranked #1 and let it be known that they were the new king of the SEC. UK won by 20 or so

An Underrated "Upset" is the '79 SECT SFs vs. LSU. UK was blistering the nets in that tournament, coming off a 101-100 win over Bama and was laying an *** kicking to LSU when DA went down with an injury. Didn't matter, Cats kept on kicking that LSU ***, game wasn't as close as the score indicates.

Was at the 1975 IU game so not sure why I didn't remember that. With Scott May injured not sure it was a huge upset altho they were favored.

2011 UNC, living here and hearing all week long how OSU was gonna kill us and then UNC was gonna beat them. Well we all know how that went. That Monday was amazing down here!!

I don't consider the Ohio State game an upset. Bookies had a whee bit too much much to drink when making that line. They didn't even think they could beat us. Harrelson went beast mode. I can close my eyes and still see him throwing that ball off Sullingers chest. Then the look Sullinger gave the ref like damn you gonna let him do that. Priceless

Not the biggest or even my #1, but a year ago after UCLA had beaten us and BIG BALLER was running his mouth before we played them the second time (in the tourney). I loved Fox taking him to school and us getting the big win on the big stage.

Kentucky over Buffalo and then Kentucky over Davidson before that if one listens to some so-called sports media types who were favoring those teams.

My favorite comeback game was Duke 1998, but that wasn't a huge upset, weren't we a 2-seed and they a 1-seed? The Ohio State game, when Brandon Knight hit the winner, was my favorite.

Been a Cat fan for 50 years and have seen a lot. That 2011 run showed that Cal was the man for the job.
